Its not a question of how much should you be making, but about are you a winning player over a decent sample, and how many buy ins do you have for your next level.

Have to go back to general bankroll management philosophy. My understanding is never risk more than 5% of bankroll. If you lose a couple times drop back down to a lower level. Be aware, game play may change at higher level so don't try to win losses back! I made that mistake.

wait, so if your bankroll is like 2,000 dollars, does this mean that you should be playing at .5 1?
i would think you could play at like 2 /4 or something but am i wrong?

I used to think that 20 buyins was good, but have changed to 50 when moving up stakes, IDK but constitant winning at 10k hands might be a good time to move up

Let your bankroll determine your level. When you have enough buyins for the next level go for it. If drop several buy ins drop down and build back up. The key is to be willing to move down in limits as needed IMO.
