Go to Amazon or ebay. They both sell used books cheaper. I get all mine there.

You can buy used books on amazion.com. Makes it even cheaper. I've bought a couple of used poker books there and had no problems.

I was always a fan of the library to save money. Although you have to find one that carries these books.

Yeah,I dont know whether this forum allow talking about online reading.
So I prefer not mention that. And on Amazon, from Vol 1 to Vol 2,each about 20 bucks. That three books are bible of poker. They are worth of buying.

I've heard a lot about this series, and I believe I read some of it before. But now reading these comments and remembering everything else Ive seen about them I think I am going to go and read the whole series.

Any other good books for the tourney and SnG players?

I was thinking that the CC members would exchange books.

I was thinking if you had a book to loan you could everything through pay pal or stars - fulltilt account.

pay the amount the book is worth plus shipping. when your done with it return it to its owner then get refunded the same way.

also, I thought we could have a section for items for sale or trade. and charge a fee. there was a guy trying to sell his art work in here.
why couldn't we sell other stuff. I know about ebay and all the other sites.
I just thought CC might see a benifet to it.

+1 Great Idea "For Sale/Trade" forum would be sweet.

My local library had all the Harrington on Hold'em books and a number of other poker books as well. You could ask the librarian for an inter-library loan. I'm sure some library around you has it.

If not, ebay has some pretty cheap

http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=ha...286.m270.l1313&_odkw=harrison+poker&_osacat=0

Here's the whole set for just over the cost of one:
