I'm not signed up for any rakeback but I'm curious about it. I gather that you need to sign up for a poker room through a rakeback site. Is it true that you cannot get rakeback if you're already signed up? I'm just interested in U.S. friendly rooms. Do tourney entry fees count too?

How much return do you $25 ring game players with 20,000+ hands get back for the month?

Rakeback

Is is possible to get a lifetime rakeback deals for micro players i.e 30%. Which isn't pts dependent? As i'm looking to ship my BR elsewhere. Or do no sites offer these types of deals.

I've just looked at my winnings for this month in HEM at titan. I've won $58 and they're taken $38 in rake - which is pretty crazy.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or will i have to continue to pay an astronomical rake at all the poker sites.

Thanks.

Rakeback

Hey i was reading a thread and people kept mentioning rakeback. i know rake is the extra money you pay in SNGs and tournys but is there rake on normal hands? and also i am asuming the rakeback is the money you get back from the rake you paid?

Rakeback is a % of the rake you pay from tournies, sngs and cash games which is payed back to you, (on FTP it is 27%). Websites get to give people rakeback as it means FTP gets more money from you signing up. There is rake on everything, for example a $1.25 sng or MTT, the $0.25 is the rake. And in a cash game a certian % of the pot will be taken for rake up to a limit ($3 on FTP).

Rackback sounds like some kinda sort of medevil torture devise.

CanOkie, you had to sign up to FT using the rakeback promotion code. If youve got an account there already i believe its too late (though I might be wrong)

OK, I was missing something :) thanks for filling me in. I do already have an account so I guess I'm screwed.

you have to find the deal and it's terms. Don't be concerned. It will affect your play like casinos giving comps to encourage play above your head.
win the money yourself.

I believe FT has changed its rules and now existing accounts can apply for rakeback via an affiliate, but I would check up on this. BTW. if you guys are not getting rakeback then your missing out on $$$.

existing accounts can not get rakeback as far as i know, but you could change poker room and get rakeback from the new.

you should be able to get a 30% rakeback without any bigger problems, don't think there are any "minimum" thresholds to reach any longer - but i think you'd have to find a new room.

in most cases you need to sign up through a rakeback site - not all cases. Yes it's most often true that you can not get rakeback if you've already sign up (but allways contact the support to double check) - the entire tournament fee is not counted only the service fee part.

It's impossible to know the amount rakeback you'd get - but with that many hands played i'd get rakeback ;)

My rakeback last month for 44.5k hand was just about $800. This was at 50NL

I have rakeback at FT but my buddy who didn't encouraged his wife to make an account w/ rakeback. Now he plays on hers and she plays on his. I know it's a bit shady but it's kind of a work around. You could still probably get in trouble for playing on an account that's not really yours though.

Weird that we had three different rakeback threads all at once in three different sections. I've merged them all here.

Awesome mod powers at work :icon_thum

BTW: I got an email a couple of days ago from AP/UB saying I could change my account from the normal one I had to a rakeback one, through rakeback.com I believe.
The account had to be inactive for at least 3 months and you had to contact support. If anyone is interested about this let me know and I will find the mail for you.

I want FT rakeback!

CC's an FT affiliate, maybe they could broker a deal for those of us without FT rakeback. I'd happily put my name on a "rakeback for existing players" petition!
