hey guys. For all you who play on fulltilt. My bankroll is like in desperate need of help right now and im playing tournaments to help me get it back up. I usually play like 5.50 dollar or 2.20 tournaments.

So far i do pretty good but not good enough considering the fact that in order for me to recover my losses, i need to WIN a tourney (not place 10th)

In July, i won a 2.20 tourney lasting over 450 ppl and won a lot of money from it. (In addition, during that period, i made like 2 other final tables and close finishes) Unfortunately, i was an idiot and lost it all to cash games. Now im back at square one and for some reason i haven't made a single final table since. Closest i got to was 10th place lasting over 600 ppl.

Idk i start having trouble during the tournament stages between 1-20 ppl. Like the blinds become so big that im eventually forced to go all in with like K J. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it to the final table with the blinds so high and everyone playing so tight. Since July, i've gotten so close (like i said 10th place which is painful) but never actually there. Maybe my streak is over or im playing worse.

You have to get lucky to reach a final table, and pushing all-in with hands like KJ is okay. You wrote they are tight before the ft, it´s a good thing ! So you get away with it and can amass chips to get a good stack at the final table. Don´t play cash games as a mtt player, you can lose your tourney winnings in seconds, happened to me too...

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^, you are not going to make final tables consistently in MTT's, playing some multi table SNG's you are going to cash more often & get to more final tables, nothing like experience.

Agreed with Kenz and Mr Mc. With SnG's(multi-table or not) you will also have a better opportunity of a better hourly rate, as many of the large MTT's that you're playing are probably taking a couple of hours with still no cashing. You can crank through a 180 man turbo in like 90 minutes(if you win).

Also, what is your actual bankroll? You make it sound like you're very low rolled, and in that case, you are more than likely playing outside of your bankroll and are bound to go busto a lot sooner.

If you have plenty of spare cash & can afford to lose it online please let us know so I can quit wasting my posting in your threads. If not you need to read up on Bankroll Management, what you are doing is horrible.

I dont think your the only one with a low account look around you !Do you think this many people would be looking for free rolls if their account was full.I have twenty seven cents lol

All we can do is read up more and play smarter!

Im trying to learn something from each free roll and the post Ive been reading,Thats all we can do.If you really need money that bad then maybe you should look for a job.I know it gets frustrating loosing because Im in the same boat.Best of luck to you, I hope you when something.

Free lesson that doesn't have to do with poker. Since you're new here I don't expect you to know this, but if you want to add something to a post after you post, just hit the Edit button on the bottom of your post. You don't have to post 3 times in a row, they aren't going to count as QUALITY posts for you to get into the freeroll club any faster.

This has been my problem too. I will make it far and be in a great position and then one bad beat will ruin it all. I need to read up on some poker books

In all honesty, with the stakes you're playing, you will probably get a lot more information that is relevant to the stakes you're playing on the forums here. Get involved and post in the Hand Analysis forum, ask questions, soak up some of the great information in the Golden Archives. Read up on bankroll management, regardless of the fact that you have a way to replenish your roll, you are still getting mad that you're losing it, so if you stuck to something, you might not lose it.

This is just advice

keep away from the cash tables as they are the games doing damage to your roll

play some sng's to keep your roll up so that you dont mind if you lose so much in other games

try a few mtt's at around $2 $3 level and try some new strategys when you get deep

good fortune to you

How is this ^ post relevant?
Do you figure that everyone ("this many people") are looking for freerolls? I think you're actually projecting here... perhaps 'you' are looking for freerolls & assume that all others here must obviously be doing the same. (at least that's the only sense I can make of your post on here)

Back to the original post.......

Go to FTP Academy and listen to Chris Ferguson talk about Bankroll Management.
Make a note and follow his advice.

If you don't want to follow his advice then let me know when and where you are playing.

;)
