I noticed on full tilt that sometimes when your playing a stud game, stud hi, hi lo, or razz, that when everyone shows their final hands, the order of the cards is rearranged - is this some sort of setting that can be shut off that causes this rearranging? I personally would like to be able to look at the order in which the person gets the cards in order to understand their betting pattern.

it really is annoying, you say a comment like you got lucky and hit an A on the river and then they were like, I got it as my pocket cards...it's wierd...so confusing. i really wish the never did it.

The re-arrangement works just like a live game. In a live game, a player can arrange and re-arrange his cards any way s/he chooses before showing. It's the nature of a stud style game. Ever notice how many players 'mini-shuffle' their hole cards ?? I do and always have, in a live game.

I have also always considered the fact that the card re-arranging is annoying, however after reading the post on how people do it in real life, I no longer see it as annoying. I think to many times on line poker is to different from live poker, and this gives it a reality check so to speak.

have they sent anything back?

No it was only a couple days ago though.

And yeah the whole reality thing does change my mind a little. Makes it more realistic.

^ this.

The shuffling isn't "sometimes" or random, BTW. In any stud hand that goes to showdown, Full Tilt puts all the downcards in numerical order. They do it specifically because it means you can't tell whether the villain caught their card on the river, or whether they had it all along. The upside is your opponents can't tell the same thing about you either.

As nevadanick points out, live stud players do the exact same thing, for the exact same reason. I don't play on Stars, but I'm surprised if they don't do something very similar.

There's no option to turn it off either, for those who are asking - it's part of the software. If you want to look back at your own hands, the hand history will remind you which cards you had in the hole in what order.

well, i'd say if it's heads up it would be easier to just remember what they had showing, but yea when you get a table of 8 or 9 players all calling, you can't very well remember everyone's shown cards, unless you're some kind of memory bank & if you are, you're definately wasting your talent lol
sometimes when someone folds it leaves my memory b 4 i want it to lol, nimble brain that i am, & when in a live game, i have never ever seen anyone take their 4 showing cards & rearrange them with the hole cards, so live is a lot different

No no, it's only the downcards that are shuffled / ordered. The upcards are left in the order they came out. Reason being, everyone else saw them come out as well, so the order they came in isn't really a mystery.

oh i see, so the other day when i was playing the person said they had their hand in the first 5 cards, which was impossible because the 4 didn't all match up to the hand so she obviously lied & said the site switched them, some people do think they switch them all
