So the general opinion is that staking is a positive thing? I have recently been offered a $500 staking opportunity which I had to apply for by sending stats and graphs etc..
Losses are covered by them and the profit split is 50:50 and the staking would finish once my bankroll reaches $2,500, meaning they take back the $500 initial stake and we split the $2,000 profit equally.
Would you go for this? Would like to hear from anyone who has been staked before!
Lenny -- this is a little different from staking like you are talking about. The sites do not take anything directly from your bankroll, they just get rakeback earnings and affiliate bonuses from the poker rooms for "introducing" you to the site. I have no experience with actual staking, but I'd just be sure you are familiar with all the terms of the agreement before getting into anything.
Okay, thanks a lot for the advice!
I was looking to do this on full tilt poker, I dont know if any of you have experience with an offer on FTP. I have had friends send me money before but never deposited myself. Do you think I am invalid for the offer or not because I have never deposited on my account?
If you already have a Full Tilt account you probably won't be able to get the $50 starting cash promotion, since the sites want you to register with them as your sponsor (so they can earn a commission on your rake).
Additionally, I stated this earlier but if you are doing this I would recommend NOT doing it at Full Tilt Poker, because you can get a rakeback bonus on FTP and most sites offer EITHER the rakeback bonus OR the $50 starting cash. If you continue playing at the site, the rakeback bonus if the far superior deal.
If you don't have a PokerStars account already, I recommend signing up for the $50 there because they have no rakeback system other than the VIP system which everyone gets anyways.
