hi there,

more than 200 players of cetain poker site has commited a fraud by selling us play chips and than resetting the accounts, now they have been promising us for weeks that we all would be getting it back but without any results, what would have been your reaction?

Do you think this type of actions should be allowed online?
Should they be doing that by making money first and than asking to spend more?
What actions do you think we should take against this fraud?

looking to hear as much as possible from you all, thank you

Why would you buy play chips?

There is another thread answering this question.....but to the OP, I'm sorry but I think the old adage "buyer beware" fits here.
I hope you didn't lose to much on this deal...... I don't think support could even help you here....I think it's out of their perview....

You were looking to get something for nothing...like pq said, be thankful it wasn't real money. Hopefully you didn't give these guys a lot of your personal information..

It's safe to say that you should be weary of any site selling any "product". Don't trust...online "companies."

Be especially weary of certain shops trying to sell counterfeit CC boxer shorts people would actually wear! ;)

I too... am wondering why anyone would buy play chips. If someone could post a thread up it'd great! If not, I'll search later...

I have no idea why anyone would buy fake chips, but I can say from personal experience with one site at least, that I have on multiple occasions SOLD my play chips to them for real money. In most cases the money comes through in about 2-3 minutes, as there's a lag while the site 'approves' the transfer...

But all in all I'm happy with the experience. I *did* get something for nothing. :)

In the previous thread, we talked about why someone would want to hoard play chips. It is because they sell them on eBay. But I never read why anyone would want to BUY play money chips. Would the OP like to enlighten us??

I've read that instead of depositing the min. of $50, a husband would buy a million or so play chips, for say $30....and let his wife use that to practice with when starting out.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy them either. That didn't sound like a good reason to me, and since it's apparently such big business, there's got to be another more qualified reason. But I somehow doubt there is. lol

I accumulated a "hoard" of about 2.75 mil PS play chips before I decided finally that play money poker=mental masturbation. I've toyed with the idea of selling them off, but my wife plays poker with them. It's a way for her to learn, and she couuld lose her limit every day for, oh, 3 yrs or so and still have some left. Besides, at $10 per mil, they really aren't worth dealing with.
