Well I've never been to Foxwoods, but have been to a few Casino's since I have turned 21. I do keep up with a lot of the Casino's here and around the area though. I have read a lot and thought about going to Foxwoods, just haven't made it yet.
Anyway....First thing I would do if I were you is sign up for the Foxwoods Wampum Rewards Card. This is the Free card that every Casino offers. Gives you points and rewards for free rooms, food ect. It also lets you sign up for contest, but most importantly you CANNOT register for any daily tournaments unless you have the card and present it when you sign up for the tourney.
Check out this website, it
tells you of their daily tournaments:
Daily Schedule
From what I've heard they have pretty sweet sit-n-go's. 10 Max players, smallest is $120 buy-in, top 3 pay.
If you just want to start out small, see if they have a $3/$6 Limit game....Yes that seems small and weak, but it can be very profitable. I sat down once with just $10 over the minimum, so $40 bucks and was up to $120 within a few
hands. Casino play is a competley different ballgame from home games or online games. So this would be a great table to start out with I would buy in with a max of maybe $100 in chips, they will mostly be $1 and $5 chips. Plus with limit and not so much to start off with it will minimize your losses and you won't look strong sitting down at a table with fewer chips than others. You will see people come to this table with $200+ easy, that could be a target that they are not very good and need the extra chips to show strength.
If you play a NL game the cheapest you'll probably have to sit down with is $200 at least, and that will be the minimum. So with that said, others will be sitting down with probably 3 times that or more.
Its all up to you though, whatever you perfer, I just wanted to give my .02 cents on my past experinces when I first started Casino play.
I wish I could have played there before you went to tell you more, but this is all I know from friends going and reading about it.
I'll be there one day~!
