Played my first Cash-out tourney on FT today. This is the tourney where you can cash out a portion of your stack at any time.

Kinda Interesting and I think I liked it. But I still didnt take advantage of it like I should of. I was already in the money but pretty shortstacked (maybe 8 or so BigBlinds). I could of cashed out for approximately $14 at that point (the buy in of the tourney was $5.50) but I just couldnt bring myself to do it. 1st place paid over $800 so I kept going. Pushed in with AK against QQ and collected like $9.

Not a bad format, I think Ill play another.

When I played these I played it like a normal tourny until I got to around double the average stack then I would cash out about 1/4 of my chips get back up to around double average and cash out half, one time i ended up cashing out for a total of $26 during tournament then once in the money i cashed out entire stack for $18 plus finish prize of $8 so in that oe tournament I got around $52. I took the guranteed money rather than take a bad beat and get less.

Good job, that is the point I guess, see if you want to risk it or not. I think you made a good choice, I would have tried for more.
