I played my first casino tourney earlier this week.....early on in the game, this slow old man called a 350 chip bet...tossed in 3 hundred dollar chips went to grab a 50 chip, but the dealer scooped his chips, so he just sat back and let his happen.

In the end he won the hand, so THAT time it didn't matter.

My question is....what would you do if you saw that happen??

Dealers are human too. If you see them make what you think is a mistake, query it.

Smile and be polite, though. The last thing that you want to do in a live game is give the other players the idea that you are arrogant or conceited. They`ll be gunning for you and looking for a chance to take you down a peg.

You might notice in TV play, that a bet is usually made vocally. This can sovle many of the problems, and I have read several places about live play ettiquete that this would be the proper action.

Prevention is the best cure.....

wouldn't be an asshole about it but I would point out to the dealer that they need to count the chips. Maybe have a littl chuckle about it after they found the mistake.
