I have gotten word that epassporte is going to be hit next just like neteller. You may want to consider getting your money out unless your site can write you a check.

What is your source for this information?

a friend who works in the DA office told me.

If that is true it will have the European community up in arms...ePassporte and the visa electron are used all over Europe... and for the US to play 800lb gorillia might not be the smartest move

The Visa electron card is accepted all over the world - tourists in the US use it at the ATMs... Can you see tourists in the US unable to get cash, pay hotel bills, airline tickets, etc. etc. etc??

That would be a serious international disaster....

Not saying your lying about your friend but I have family that work for the DA. I would say that they are as clueless as the rest of us. Knowingly that they are only over a "District." Subsequently it would be a FBI or a CIA matter, that would be held confidential.

I call BS on this one.

I agree. I don`t see how the U.S. authorities can go any further down the road of restricting international trade. The World Trade Organisation has ruled that American trade restrictions (specifically UIGEA) are illegal, and the U.S. has decided not to appeal the ruling.

The only thing that stops the rest of the world from going the next logical step and imposing sanctions is the huge fallout that would cause, because of America`s importance in international relations and in trade. If it were a third world country, they would have done it already.

If the U.S. authorities push their luck further, some of the smaller countries (especially those unfriendly to America) are bound to start pushing for action and complaining that there is one rule for them and another for the big boys.

Has anyone else around here had money confiscated by NY from neteller?

I agree. Antigua is already making rumblings about copyright law... if they suddenly decided not to honor US copyright law we might see in the not too distant future Antigua Windows, Antigua Office, Antigua Photoshop and the list goes on....

None of you paid attention. Epassporte is still in business just like Netteller is still in business. Just not for American poker investments or withdrawls.

Don't take credit for this, son. You started this thread almost a year ago and no one's been "hit" yet.

When the owners of ePassporte get locked up as soon as they get off a plane on American soil and the US Government finds a way to freeze their company's assets for 6 months like what happened to Neteller, then you can blow your trumpet and we'll give you your props. So far, they haven't been "hit" yet. Looks like just a company decision right now.


BTW, nice contribution to the forum over the last 4 months. Do you only pop in to argue?

No poker rooms offer epassporte anymore, i think it is over!

Oh bye the way Nettellers assets were not seized. They remained solvent and in business. The money that was seized belonged to us. It was being transfered in and out of US financial institutions when it was seized. But you go ahead and put your money out there genius.

I'll say it again: As soon as ePassporte gets "hit next just like Neteller", we'll give you your props. I'll be the first on here to do it. But so far, it looks like a business decision that any business like ePassporte has the right to make. A scared decision? Maybe. We'll stay tuned.

Well...I tried to cash out via epassport and it would not go thru at pokerstars. Instead I would have to get them to write a check and wait 15 days or so. This really sucks! Was wondering if there was a faster way to withdraw.
