yep...ran into it on ABSOLUTE couple weeks back. i had a buddy i transferred it to and he pulled it right out. if u dont have that option, then just deposit minimum, wait 48 hrs and pull whatever out. thats the only thing is the 48 hour wait, but its for supposed security reasons (ie. money laundering..etc)

Many sites won't allow you to make a withdrawal if you've never made a deposit. Others make you play a certain numbers of raked hands (depending on the amount won) before withdrawing.

That's common and by winning the FR$ first you kinda screwed yourself. All sites, that I am aware of, have requirements before being able to withdraw FR$. # of hands played at a certain level or amount of rake.

In that way, the site gets to essentially keep a portion of the "free" money. You need to risk it against other players and they get the rake from all those hands.

These restrictions usually do not apply to players that have made a deposit first, but again, that is site specific.

I looked through FullTilts' site and couldn't find the specifics in the FAQ guide so you'll probably need to contact their support for the information.

FYI, just making a deposit now, will not clear it up. The restriction still applies to the winnings, so don't deposit $50 expecting to withdraw $450 the next day.

Sounds like a thinly vailed attempt to get someone to get involved in a transfer scam.....maybe not

Im not buying it either. Ive contacted FTP support many times and they respond right away and are very helpful.............

It would be pretty awesome if we could come together with a list of sites who allow withdrawing without deposit and a list of sites who require a deposit before withdrawing and sticky it in the poker room forum.

Would be a pretty cool idea if you ask me. especially with all the damn freerolls and stuff around now.

So.... if one were to gather a good size bankroll from freerolls (example: $500), having never deposited, but then deposited the minimum amount (I think $50 on Full Tilt), would they be able to withdraw the $500 then with no problems?

I agree!
Before this post, I never realized it was an issue.

But then again, I've only withdrawn from bodog, a site I deposited to.

However my FT and UB BRs are from freerolls. So this is an interesting topic. Hope Prophet keeps us posted.

I e-mailed absolute about 4 months ago they told me i had to deposit 50.00 for 48 hrs then i could withdrawl all of my account if i want and all my winnings started from a freeroll. so i dont think it matters to them if you won it in a freeroll or not.

Withdrawls

Pifan,

I had e-mailed support@fulltiltpoker.com. They have always been very helpful. I have been assured of the same thing. That once I make a $ 50 deposit I can withdraw all my money including my freeroll winnings which is well over that amount.:) I hope that is true.

Play with poker stars and you won't have this problem. You are wasting your time and potential.
