Hey GUys! I don't know if you've seen how crazy Hellmuth is, but I was watching a tourney on TV and saw him throw a chair after losing a big hand!! He also started chewing out the rook after the hand :).

Howard Lederer was asked on-camera during NBC's broadcast of the final table between Chris Ferguson and Phil Helmuth at the 1st National Heads-up Poker Championship, what would he say to Phil after Phil responded in typical childish, sulking fashion to a devastating river suckout? (Phil fell out of his chair, stayed on his hands & knees on the floor for several seconds, then got up and walked out of the room for an extended cooldown break. Before rejoining the tournament, he made several critical remarks about Ferguson's play.)

Howard took a deep breath, paused for a second, and replied, "Grow up."

Amen, Professor.

Phil just thinks he's the greatest player on earth, and therefore when anyone else wins, it's only because they played crazy or got lucky. Bottom line, Phil hates to get outplayed, and crys whenever he does.

I think perhaps the overlooked factor is that Hellmuth has to be one of the most unlucky poker champions of all time, you very rarely see him do anything wrong so when he does
get knocked out its because someone lucked out on him. I can't even begin to understand his anguish, the amount of times he completely outplays his opponent but
still ends up with the inevitable loss..

Was just watching the USPC 2003... A typical finish for Hellmuth after completely
outplaying a senseless Toto forcing him to incredibly difficult situations - Phil kept making the right call every time.

Phil Helmuth is a poker god but at the same time you realize he's that kid from the AV club who gets beat up in high school. His life obviously sucked as a child so i can forgive him for being such a baby.

I personally think Phil is a pain, but he is great for the game. He is the bad guy. I don't think that he realizes it though.

I have no problem with Phil Hellmuth if somebody plays bad cards and takes him down on a pot and he complains about it he has the right. If he complains about somebody constantly betting or rasing against him like he did against Huck Seed i don't like that because that is part of the game.

Ok, Helmuth, this site is for amateurs only, so please stop the masquerade and go find another chair to throw! (parodocks, indeed. hmpf!)
