Hello, I live in Argentina where unfortunately the quarantine is still in place, and what worries me is if with this normality, face-to-face tournaments can be held in casinos.

I particularly find it difficult, to maintain the required safety distance ...

I wanted to know how is the situation in your country with all this and what do you think about when it will return to normal, thank you, see you.

Im from india. The cases are on the rise rapidly, but still everything goes on as usual with people just wearing masks. One thing in my country that irritates me often is the push and pull in the queues. People want to be as close to the counter as they want as if reducing the distance makes them rapidly get to the counter. Then covid came, social distancing happened but, created a new problem. As I was maintaing 6 feet distance from a person in front of me, I was waiting for my chance to place an order in a shop. A guy, just entered and jumped in front of me , inserting himself between us two.. Happened before Covid, Happens now in covid. How did I deal in that situation? The jokes turned on him, as my uncle owns the shop. I do work sometimes there. So, I entered the counter and delayed him. Being modest, never works. Just a normal day here. Not to mention traffic. Trust me, you guys have never seen traffic. If you drive here and go back, you will really appreciate and will never call your country's traffic as worse. Yeah, it does seem like I'm complaining a lot, but, I am not. Just explaining. Expecting no hate replies. Thank you.

In my country, the situation remains difficult. Quarantine is in effect, but depending on the spread of the disease, the restrictions are different. I think, as before, we should stay at home if possible. We should not risk our own lives and the lives of others once again.

Hi, I live in Belarus now, and we haven't any quarantine actions at al.. Probably, Belarus is one of the countries, where nothing changed in a law ..
Of course, there is recommendations for people, to keep distance, but there is now restrictions for people, who don't have confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19.
Looks like all casinos still open and work(but I'm not visit any of them, so not 100% sure).

I'd imagine that casinos are still open but 2-3+ live major tournaments which we should have had in our city earlier this year were all cancelled or moved to online instead so yeah ...

The poker houses where I live in brazil are still closed.
I also have a biweekly live game with my friends and we haven't played since March.
The condominiums have not yet released meetings of people in the game rooms.

I get requests to play in local cardrooms...and although they have gone to great lengths to make it safe enough, I do not play with science, I am staying home until well, at least two years...(when more data is shown 'irregardless')

My thought process is this, Covid strands are evolving, it is highly contagious...also, we do not know if the vaccines are not going to cause crazy side effects, I don't know about where you are, but in US there are commercials all the time for lawsuits due to some drug...I have had some friends that have had corona, and they are having breathing problems long after recovery..so..I say about two years from now I will play live again. Thank god for chardschat! and the tourneys and the online games to keep me into the game...

Perhaps I am over thinking it, but in America if you get sick, your looking at about 1k a day min for a night in a hospital, and with insurance who knows..there is no way even with insurance will I get out without a huge bill..that and who the hell wants to go through that? Time time time...just have to wait it out. No money winnings from poker is worth the risk, not even millions IMO with Covid floating about.

---
Irregardless is considered nonstandard because of the two negative elements ir- and -less. It was probably formed on the analogy of such words as irrespective, irrelevant, and irreparable. Those who use it, including on occasion educated speakers, may do so from a desire to add emphasis.

Take that spell checkur:)

I heard that your president outed the fact that the IMF offered your country 10 times the amount you received the first time if Belarus would agree to lock down again.

Can you confirm this?

It seems to me this is not really about a contagious disease at all but more about slowing the money velocity worldwide, because there is a worldwide economic emergency and not a COVID emergency. Almost all of the people who have died had a second health condition but these are counted as COVID deaths.

On June 3rd the World Economic Forum released a video entitle THE GREAT RESET, why not THE GREAT PANDEMIC?

Before all the initial lock downs happened in March the bank to bank lending or REPO market (USA) went to double digit interest rates. There is a systemic economic problem looming and they are using COVID as a cover.

We will know for sure within 6 months or less, but they will blame COVID for any currency or economic collapse.

I’m from Brazil and here the situation is the same, still in quarantine and events like poker tournaments are still not allowed, but I think they will be allowed soon, of course with the use of masks and a minimum distance between the players.

Hi all!

I am on another planet where nature and its laws are benign, here the universe is beneficial. We feed on nature directly, fruits, vegetables, seeds, all raw. then we verify day by day that diseases do not exist. By respecting these laws the virtues come to light. Here is everything abundant, water, food, air, daylight. We use our senses to capture reality.

Greetings from Earth :D

I live in Venezuela, it is difficult for normality to return here one day. meanwhile I recommend you use online poker, it is more profitable, and safer for the moment

The truth is that this forced quarantine that I had to go through and lasted like three months, very hard for me for everyone and there was no choice but to entertain myself in something and that was online poker because I learned a lot more than I already knew now I play every day more than just a moment.

Every country is different. Here in Latvia we have relatively small loss of life because of the virus and few take it too seriously. But I know it's completely different in other countries.

I don't hear anything about IMF offers to Belarus.. Now there is a lot of citizen actions, because many people doubt in the reality of presidents elections results.. Looks like a lot of people in opposition to current president, and it's most common discussed facts here...

Well, I guess all the people we used to play live poker with are playing online poker, so we've met again, I guess?
I really enjoy online poker, but I miss the live poker moments, the first one is more profitable, the second one much more fun.

Most casinos in the world are shut down because it is to hard to keep
people apart. At least on line poker has increased.

In a year at this time I think we will return to a normal life and I do not say that because a vaccine will appear until then but I think we will all go through this pandemic and we will self-immunize. Cheers everyone!

I think we will return to normal life not earlier than in 2 years, when there will be a vaccine against covid and at least 60% of the population in each country will be vaccinated.

I don't know much about the live poker situation in my area--there's only one place I can really go to play and it's usually too expensive for me. I think they reopened at some point though but for sure *I* wouldn't go during covid.
