I just cashed out a check from full tilt. I cashed the check at my bank and they gave me money right away, anyone know how long I have to worry about if the check will bounce or not?

Does the problem with payment processors affect paper checks? My check seemed to come from a bank on the west coast, does that mean that it was not a payment processor? Who do the laws affect?

Thanks to anyone who can help

Sticky issue... Not all states in the US are banned from online poker. I believe it was south carolina (refer to PPA website) whos judge twice decalred poker a game of skill over a game of luck. Not being from that state i dont know specific laws but I believe that state youre ok to play.
For future reference overseas E-wallets and possibly western union are the safest way for US players, but expensive. I posted an article about a week ago in this forum about how banks are supposed to become more strict with enforcing possible activity involving such things as online poker starting in december. From reading blogs ive heard of one player getting their bank account locked after cashing a check for over $7k from a poker site. When trying to withdraw money he was told his account is locked as hes under investigation. Dont get frantic though, its the only case ive heard of. Id check your bank account balance periodically over the next 2 weeks and if you dont here anything by then and have no transaction issues with that bank you should be ok. Just try to keep the withdraw checks to a minimum and be careful of the tax barrier. Let us know how it goes.. good luck.

I have used the insta debit option to cash. Went flawlessly and money deposited within one day. Could not have been easier.

Keep us updated on wha happened. I've been thinking about cashing out via check but have been a little hesitant to do so. I will probably stick with the e-wallet, but let me know.

its been over a week so far. I just requested another check, I have been reading that the Uigea has nothing to do with withdrawals, only payment processors and deposits. So I guess as long as you have a check in hand you are ok?
