When u're tired is definitely the worst time... So, for me, starting some long SnG or tourney late in the dawn is a huge mistake :p

I like to play in the afternoons and evenings

When I spent the whole day at home playing poker I was more or less so . I began at about 9:00 am and went until about 15:00 pm , and went very well . I stop for lunch and then straight engatava in online tournaments, after I ate lunch I began to drown in the games. I analyzed everything I did and began to play for part of the day only . I concluded that I was playing many hours a day and was not able to reason in the other half of the day as the first half .

I like to play when no one bothers to - at night and early morning. The best results - in the morning.

Late night and Early morning are prime time for fishy players, especially if you live in a country that is on an opposite schedule like me :)
My reasoning behind this is that even good players start to play badly at those times, especially those that may like to have a few ****tails when they play. Honestly, I find this to be the case at brick and mortar casinos too. When I paly in the day I usually lose or break even. If I play late night there tend to be fewer players, which caters to my style, and they tend to be intoxicated and I win 80% of the time.

BTW I seem to remember reading that big time pros like Barry Greenstein when he was coming up would sleep during the day and only play at night when he was sharp and fresh against the drunk, surly whales.

I mostly play at 888poker, and for me, I find that in the morning from around 7 until 10(my time). And in the evning from about 6 until midnight are the times that I have the most success.

For me it's nice when work does not interfere when I'm playing and no one bothers me

I had some friends who would time their play for when the Europeans would be getting home after having some drinks with friends but this was back in 2006. I'm sure Europeans have become much better since then.

I would say there is no ideal time to play poker. it is true that in the early morning there are fewer people, but it is not easy to keep the concentration and sometimes stay awake :D . The ideal would be to play poker when you feel good cards and play the most sense
