Well, to be honest, I have anger issues. So I have concluded, it is better for me to not play live. I think I would be worse than Phil. Online I can type, throw whatever I want, etc. However, I think at a real table, I may flip a tale or throw a chair or something. Guess online poker is the best choice!

Anger issues and poker make bad company. Perhaps some order of meditation or relaxation classes would help to focus that energy in a different fashion.

Anger is always harmful .

I meditate everyday and sometimes i turn off the chat in imp games
as not to get involved with any heat .

Like whenone say someting , i kinda not ignore it , but say something right back , and effect my game.

But i heard some folks do well when they are Angry , i donno if its true :)

angry-child-gif.gif

if its productive then its good to be angry , but if it effects our decision making , then no :)

angry german kid (subtitles) - YouTube

Holy cow....

Where do you find this stuff?

There is no way that kid is that crazy for real.... he must be hamming it up for YouTube or something.

As for the OP:

You need to control anger to be successful at poker. That is pretty much it. Go to anger-management classes or something.

Anger is definitely an issue that everyone has. The real problem comes in trying to control your anger and continue playing solid poker.

try not to play when you have anger , and when playing online try to have a proper bankroll management. never exceed that because it will be very frustating for you to lose big amounts of money. dont take the game so serious, just get fun by playing it so you wont suffer. good luck

Harder but better than not playing when you're angry is learning to control yourself so that you don't anger as easily or as much, and that you don't let it affect your play.

Flipping tables live is not healthy. Lol. I've seen it once although it was quite.
entertaining its obviously a bad place for the villain to be mentally

If you cant overcome your anger and look at all the positive dynamics of life in a different perspective and take a new approach on board, then you are unlikely to ever make money in poker since the most important thing in poker is the ability to adjust and take different individual contexts in consideration and understand how to exploit this or how to control situations.

I would take a bet that you also have trouble folding big hands or keeping a cool head when excited?
its All emotional control

when playing online try to have a proper bankroll management.

This^.

If losing makes you angry I suggest you take up something other than poker. You WILL have bad beats. You WILL have down swings. You WILL have people who try to intentionally tilt you.

When anger becomes a factor in your poker play it tends to have a snowball effect. This is why some players try to tilt people.

Ability to control their own behavior will not only help in poker is a useful quality in everyday life . Able to control myself a person is considered agreeable .
To learn how to control it, to go to training and learn the ancient teachings do not, just follow the simple guidelines:

If you understand that emotion is rolled , then spitting them out and do not try to hold back , just switch to cause irritation of the case to another occupation , for example , have dinner , watch a movie or enjoy a hobby or a loved one.
Our body is made according to the principle of compensation . In other words, if you receive less emotional home, you begin to seek to recover them at work ( and vice versa) , because if you're too emotional poker , try to keep active and everyday life richer .

How to cure anger in less than two seconds

By cure I mean that your anger is completely gone. I do not mean repressing anger, stuffing anger, letting it go, or denial. I mean cure as in completely gone. If you do one simple thing.

The cure for anger is incredibly simple. I figured it out in 2008.

You do not need anger management classes.
You do not need a 12 step program.
You do not need to count to ten
(or count backwards from ten).
You do not need to take a break or go for a walk.
You certainly don’t need to take a pill.

Although these things certainly can help they do not claim to cure your anger. They are designed as excellent coping skills. There has been no consciously known cure for anger before, even though people stop being angry all the time. They just don’t know how to do it on demand. Imagine a way to know how to stop being angry on demand that is consciously repeatable.

People on a large scale have not consciously connected two simple things together to know how to cure anger. If you only want to learn to manage your anger through coping skills then by all means simply keep to the list above. But if you want to cure your anger then you only have to do one simple thing.

I do not do this one thing for you. You have to do this simple action to cure your anger. I know you can do this because I have seen two year olds do this. I have seen teenagers and adults do this. I have seen people with every form of mental illness do this. I have even seen people with Down Syndrome do this. You are capable of curing your own anger if you do one simple thing. If you do it. I have even seen drunk people do this. Normally being drunk is the automatic disqualifier to doing any personal growth. I won’t even attempt to bother doing personal work with someone when they are actually drunk. Nobody does. But I have seen drunk people do this one seemingly simple thing and their anger is gone. Eliminated. Not stuffed, repressed, or in denial. Cured. Gone. Period.

It is simple, straight forward and safe enough for a two year old to do it. You can do this too.

And this is how you do it. First, think of something small that somebody did to irritate you. Preferably someone you actually care about. Think of something small so it won’t be that big of a deal when you’re not angry at them in a few minutes. If you have found something small that somebody did to you recently to irritate you then read on, if not please just take a moment before you continue. Choosing something small is helpful to start to begin with in order to ensure your chances of success. Later on you will have time to work up to something bigger.

Now, only if you are ready, continue reading. I say only if you are ready because sometimes it is NOT appropriate to cure our anger. Or sometimes people aren’t ready to be done with their anger. Obviously that is a whole different discussion. That is why I have you choose something small that somebody you like did to irritate you. So you can actually do it. If you have found your small thing then you are ready for the final step to cure your anger. It is written next > forgive them.

Go ahead, test it out. You can do it right now.

You cure anger by forgiving. Forgive them and your anger is gone. Forgiving them is more for us than it is for them. We forgive people so we don’t have to carry them around in our own head anymore. Forgive them and you can finally move on. It often times doesn’t punish a person to not forgive them. Although it can help immensely if you do forgive them but it is not required. It only works if you do it. This works 100% of the time if you do it. Can you imagine a 100% cure rate for anger (if you do one simple thing of course). It works every single time for every single person everywhere.

Now, once you’ve forgiven them, go and find your anger now. Where is your anger? You can’t touch it if you forgave them. If you are having difficulty it may be that we are in a public place right now and it does get a little personal to forgive someone. Do this again at home – AND START WITH SOMETHING SMALL FIRST!

Now, you can forgive yourself, and get out of your own head. By forgiving you actually get them out of your own head. Forgiving allows you to be free from them. It is for you that you forgive. And if you don’t forgive them you won’t be able to forgive yourself. You can’t forgive yourself if you don’t forgive them.

Society is beginning to associate these two things together more and more often. I am the first person to consciously associate the two in order to directly cure anger.

Your anger issues are going to make your opponents money. Very large bankroll or growing up would seem to be your Best options.
There is a lot of good advice available on this forum, should you be interested,
Good luck.

You must be a consistent losing player if you cannot control your anger. Maybe poker is not for you.

angry german kid (subtitles) - YouTube

Is this for real, I don't think his keyboard or mouse is hooked up to anything, he's probaly staring at a cardboard box.lol

To OP
If you have anger issues don't play poker, it's a good decision to stop playing live but I'm not sure online will be much different in the game. If you are concern about flipping out at the tables then yes you won't have to worry about that online but your game won't change , if you get angry easily you won't be able to focus on your game, for example first hand in the tourny and loose half of your stack to bad beat how are you going to recover from the loss by being angry. Most likely you will tilt and lose it all carelessly. You need complete decipline and focus when playing poker , not everyone is perfect at it, I myself is still learning, poker won't go anywhere so I suggest you step off for a while and try to get help . It's not only for poker but will also benefit your personal life, I know people with anger issues and see what it can do to their lives not only poker. Good luck.

Yep, if you get to cuttin' a shine then ya better quit whats ailin' ya. Because your gonna dump chips [or cash] like a blind man with a bucket with a hole in it. Yep, ain't nuthin' better'n raising the hell outta the villian every time you can get the chance, or even better, bettin' the socks off him. A few choice words in the chat box should really do the damage too. Really? Does all of that do anything to the 'villian' other than fatten him up? Sure, i have been smokin' too at times, but eventually i grew out of it, and wiser. 'Specially when that sonofabuck done went and took all my money. Now why the hell would a man get mad, and just throw money at the person that made you mad??? Hehe, you done went and payed the guy to piss you off, think about it. Losing money hurts, a few bad words just bounce off and go away.
