A Titan question

3 questions

1. Ok, say one of us enter into the million dollar tourney and won 1st....220,000---not to shabby. But can they be trusted to cash out this much? Or would it be a lost check in the mail?

2. Also, did anyone hear anything on the 100 million tourney after it was finished. I would have expected to see an article on their site somewhere. But I have'nt seen anything.

3. If you do win a good chunk of change, any good IRS advice. I would hate to be another example like the million dollar Survivor moron.

1. Titan are big enough that there shouldn't be any problems on that score - if they didn't pay out then the negative publicity would cripple them, and companies spend a lot more than that on advertising budgets.
2. As far as I've heard, the final table hasn't actually taken place yet (one of the other CardsChat members has claimed to have qualified for the final table but hasn't heard what's happening there yet), so it seems like it's running late - I'd expect this would start generating some negative publicity if they continue to delay this, however.
3. Don't live in the states - live somewhere that gambling winnings aren't considered taxable income... makes things much easier. In the states, though, you should probably locate a goot local accountant to help you work out the best way to file it.

I made it to the $100 million final table and they still don't know when it is going to be played, so we will have to wait and see on that one. There is almost no information of this tournament on the websites of Noble or Titan Poker but if you go to CD poker's website they have the interviews of the 3 contestants that made the final table from there site on there if you want to check them out.

jguthrie, i've got to say you're being very restrained about this - the final table was supposed to be the end of May, it is now the middle of June and you STILL haven't heard anything? I'd ask Nick to have a word with the Titan rep if i was you, because that is ridiculous.

Robwhufc, I sent Nick a private message last week to see if he would ask the Titan support team about this final table and he did ask them for me. But he sent me back a private message today saying that Titan still hasn't given him a response yet.
