A Moment of Clarity

This suddenly hit home to me yesterday while i was playing a $3 re-buy tourney online, which i won by the way $1056 for a $6 investment:

"Poker isn't so much about how many chips you win but more about how many you DON'T lose."

Just thought i'd share that with you all and hope it helps.

(If you wondering who's quote that is it's mine, it came up in a conversation with my Dad after the game.)

In tournament play, that is especially true. Nice take.

Not just in tournament play; for example, in one of Daniel Negreanu's blogs (Dec. 31?), he talks about how he played excellent poker in a heads-up match during a stretch where he lost $60K, which kept him from losing even more.
