Nothing wrong with PP. I've played the vast majority of my poker there (sitting in a $55 SnG as I type).

I don't buy the notion that the bigger sites have differing amounts of fish. I can see no logical reason why a sufficiently large sample of people of any nationality or marketing demographic should be more prone to raising with Ace rag.

That said any individuals experience of a site may be that they have faced more fish at Stars than Party or vice versa but it's probably just a variance thing.

A factor in choosing sites are the structure (i.e. blinds, starting stack and length of levels) you may want to dabble with turbos or short-handed SnGs.

9 player V 10 player SnGs will also have an effect on your win% though your ROI% should be about the same.

Basically just find a site that suits you, your roll and the strategy you play. They are all going to require good play to be a long term winner.

In my mind pp has no game selection whatsoever in stts whilst other sites have a much bigger range but if you are happy where you play thn stay where u are but if you get sick of it (which i did v quickly) then look around because there are much better sites imo out there.

Party's lack of interface options is of course a downside and there a far fewer options for buy-ins as Stef says, particularly at the lower end.

Stars has a terrific range of options for buy-in.

One financial advantage is that deposting on a new site will earn you some sort of deposit bonus.

Of the sites I have tried:
betfair - reasonable opposition but rakes seemed, at lower stakes ,a little high c.f. other sites so don't play there any more.
Party Poker - relatively easy site to win money at both STT and ring games - good promotions and monthly deposit bonus.
Full tilt - don't really like the interface which always seems slow to me - multi-tabling is tricky as well. Good variety of games such as Horse and Razz which do not appear on a lot of sites.
bodog - good freerolls and the best deposit bonus. In terms of players, there seem to be more chasers or people who think middle pair is a great hand at this site. I think this is due to the sportsbook connection this may or may not suit you. In STTs & MTTs, if you play tight, this could potentially work against you but in ring games the easy money that can be won with a good hand is a definite advantage.
