Patience. If I need to give just one advice, it would be that. Dont hurry your poker progress, dont play a game that your bankroll cant affort. Be patience and the results must come!

Hi.
The main rule for me is to put in place real, adequate goals.
The second rule is to be as much as possible aimed at the result and achieving the goals set. And the third rule is to work patiently every day, gradually, step by step approaching its goal.
I wish you all the best.

Books are great, but experience is the best way to gain knowledge!

Stack management. And playing good hands like 55, 66, 77, 88, 99, 1010, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ, AJ, A10, KQ, KJ and folding the garbage. Like Leomil said Patience is key!

Something that I learned a long time ago, just cause you do good in Micro stakes, doesn't mean you'll do that good in High Stakes....

Sounds legit:you let your players know what game they'll play, my best advice would be to ask pirateglenn what game are we playing tonight, and what is the buyin.

The successful players have three main components:
1. Patience.
2. Concentration.
3. Good mood.
I also recommend that you have all three components.
Good luck.

1. Bankroll management
2. Position in hand
3. Don't drunk))

Nice advice is - play agressive if at the table all play's tight, and play tight if at the table all play's agressive.

Do not throw all your hands, have patience and study a lot about tilts.

If I was putting together a home game with friends who didn't really know the game I think I would skip the book. I would just get evryone together, sit down with a deck of cards, some chips and some brew, and I would start playing. I would explain as we played, answering any questions that came up. The goal for a friendly home game is to have fun. At least that's what it would be for my home game.

Only play strong hands out of position and in position open your range of hands and play with speculative hands.
