SNG and tourneys

I think you are better off playing in the SNG and tournaments. The cash tables are nice if you can double up quickly and get out, but unfortunately you tend to stay and lose the money you made. I have sat at a cash table for 4 hours and left with the same amount I started with.

Sorry to tell you this, but some people can leave after they win lol

Ok..and what SNGs are profitable?
I only would play $2 ones now,as the $1's are not profitable to play because the 25% entry fee...
Has anybody expirience with the 18 mans?

Definately too risky. These are turbos that only pay out 9 spots (in addition to the .50 per knockout). From my experience, they are essentially bingo sessions, as way too many people chase to try and catch the knockout bounty. You will probably not come close to the money in most of these that you play.

If you want to play MTTs, I suggest you start with the $1, 90 player double-stacks SNG. Plenty of time to play before the blinds get too high, and they pay out 18 spots.

When you build up your bankroll a little, the $2, 180 player MTT SNG is decent - it also pays out 18 spots but since there are twice the entries, the top payouts are much better.

While the fee is a larger percentage in a $1 STT, I don't think it will affect your expectation as much as fact that the play in those games can be random at times. You're going to have to tread carefully until you get to at least the $10 SNG, because a lot of people below that level just don't care about the entry and will gamble with you.

If you stay away from the turbos, I think that these still are easy enough to beat that you can show a + ROI if you are even reasonably solid.

I concur.
With a small bankroll consistency is important. So do whatever is going to get you a safe profit to build up the bankroll.

For me, that means playing ring games. While I won't double my buy-in at most tables, I'll lose my entire buy-in even fewer times. And for me, it's psychologically better to have a lot of small wins that equal "X" profit than to have a lot of losing sessions and the occasional big score that equals "X" profit.

On FT the 90 SNG 1.25 is double stack and pays off 18. Thats 20% of the field. You can start to build up there. Also the $1 Ferguson is nice too. If you can get to Final table you can score. I have maybe 6 times and came away with a nice roll besides getting in the money.
I would stay out of cash games unless you feel real comfortable there. You could lose your BR really fast. You need to think about building up your bankroll so you should get in high value for your $ since you dont really have that much. That is MTT where if you get in the final table there is a good payoff for your investment. But you got to play really well and focused.

I find the best success on the low ring games but again you have to be able to walk away otherewise you'll never win
