Agreed. I've missed the last few as well. Almost as bad as the normal FT freerolls - blink and you'll miss it.

There was a long thread on this. Consensus is that 900 is the right number for now. I have missed a few when I was very late trying to enter but open time is long. I don't think over an hour open time can be called a blink compared to ftp 5 seconds, though.

We voted and an overwhelming majority voted to leave it at 900 - or to reduce it to less. Very few votes were for increasing it. If you are missing it - that is because you are waiting too late to register.

Simple fix: wake up two hours earlier, get the password and register, go back to sleep until the freeroll starts, and then play.

Most of the people in those tourneys are just freeroll chasers anyway. Besides, more entrants means less money for the winner, and a bigger/tougher field to fight through.

i think that 900 is best but i think that they should make it that u must make atleast 20 post in the week to get entrance so as t remove those freeroll chasing ppl plus that would boost post and threads in the site since ppl would try to make the freeroll

Personally, I think password should be released earlier. You know what's happening is every Sunday we get a bunch of people registering right when the password is released.

Release it 2 days earlier and then only real CC users will be playing....

I don't think anything that encourages people to make crap posts in order to get passwords is a good idea.

then those freeroll chasers will register 2 days earlier. as i said i think that u need to make a certain no. of posts to get the password every week and instead of them posting on the site let it be emailed that is a good solution buit it could be hard to accomplish having to send out all those emails and checking post counts etc

It's a 5:00am Monday start time here, which means registration around 2:30am. If I ain't complaining, y'all shouldn't be :p

I think restricting the password to people who have been a member for at least a week or so, and have made a certain no. of posts, would probably be a good idea. Although 20 posts a week is probably a bit much. Like Kim said, that'd just lead to a lot of junk posts.

Does anyone have any stats on how many people sign up in the 24 hours or so before the FT freerolls? (More than usual?) If there's a flurry of people signing up just to get the password, then maybe releasing it a couple of days earlier would actually help...

if we set a post requirement then nobody will be drawn to the site, and there will be just a lot of junk posts like "hahaha yea!" and "I agree!"

posting requirements will decrease the quality of each post, and we arent looking for lots of posts anyways. We are looking for members that will contribute to the forum....

we hope that by having the best freeeroll out there, people will be drawn to the site and maybe get drawn into the posting, for example: me.

posting requirements are pointless IMO

im guessing you mean 2-4 hours, because thats when the password is normally realeased...

I am normally signed up right when the password is out and then i either go back to sleep or go to work on certain sundays...

im guessing that the freeroll is usually full around 1 or 2 EST

well i will time how long it takes the tourney to fill up on sunday....its not like these things fill up like the 100$ freerolls on FT....ive had plenty of time to get into the CC freeroll on sundays...plus more people would just be more of a reason for people to donk it up......i say keep it or even lower it!!!

this is one of my best threads yet.... ok maybe we should leave it at 900... the password is released 2 hours earlier... i will just have to regging sooner... although i am not really in it for the money, but i respect those that are and can see your point...

to me... winning an 1800 entrant freeroll is more prestigeous than winning a 900 entrant freeroll... and the money is spread out to more players... but i have to agree with the majority of players on the site... most of the rif raf will be cut out anyway so why not leave it at 900 and let the real players win more...

No, I meant 24 hours. I figure that's the timeframe where most people "find" the freeroll on Full Tilt and come here to sign up. If there IS a noticeable increase in sign-ups, then releasing the password earlier would benefit the already existing forum members, since they could sign up before all of the last minute newcomers...

50% of them register on the forum a few hours before the freeroll starts........

Personally, I think there should be a rule saying you have to be a member here for a couple of weeks before being able to see the passwords forum at all. And of course, a certain number of QUALITY posts.

If it stays like this, eventually all the good members are going to be driven out by freeroll donks.

3pm EST = 12pm PST (noon) = where I live (Vegas).

Plus I work from 6pm-2am on Saturday (I get off work at 2am PST Sunday morning), so that gives me eight hours of sleep, wake up to register, then back to sleep for two hours, wake back up to play. =)

Oh, fair enough. Didn't realise LV was that far behind EST. Still, that going-back-to-bed thing probably doesn't apply to too many people here... ;)

3pm EST = 5am (yes thats right, 5 in the morning) here in Sydney Australia. I have only ever been able to make 1 CC freeroll since joining about 3 or 4 months ago (to lazy to get up, and have to work most mondays anyhow), but thats cool, will try getting up earlier to register for this weekend (don't have to work woo hoo).
