there are a couple about 40 miles from my house. Living in Oklahoma is nice because there aren't many professionals here, but LOTS of casinos (due to the indian population)

I'd like to know how you do it. I cannot get one win day never mind back to back wins lol.

I have read all the tips and advice and follow it strictly, but as tey, have not made a dime.

Will still keep trying though. Well done to you anyway.

Congrats on the winning run - put the winnings to one side and next time you play - start with the same amount.

That way 'if' you happen to lose you still have your winnings to enjoy :)

nice job styro! i have only played at a casino twice now, and i love it. we have foxwoods and mohegan sun about 2 hours from me, so its not so easy to get over there often. luckily though, i won both times - only about $75 each time so it was fun.

good work on the back to back, man. keep it up and maybe you can quit work!

To answer the question: Just get paid off for your strong hands, and avoid paying others off. Don't play weak/tight as they are easy to make money off of. Play aggressive - alot of fish are afraid to fight for the money.

Yep. I went back last night and also won about $119 (100->219ish). Third winning session in a row for me :D. I just lie in wait for the hand I'll make a big chunk of my entire sessions profit and do nothing until then. Spot the chasers/calling stations and wait for your hand to pay off vs them. Still scary for me, but I'm managing to stick to my guns even when the bet gets big.

Poker isnt about winning vs everyone at the table, you only need to make your money off of 2-3 people at each table.

Being aggressive is just as key as being tight. When you play aggressive, you will get people to fold the best hand because of your image. For example:

I get black 33 in late position about 2 hours into playing. Raised to 6 from 2 and get about 3 callers before me, so I limp. Flop comes 669 and it checks to me and i bet out 25. Folds around, and the guy after me even folded his pocket 77. My image was so tight that no one contested the pot.

Yeah, its all about being aggressive/tight. If you play that way, you'll know when you're beaten, because people will play back at you ONLY when they have a strong hand. In fact, just the other day i am playing my normal tight/aggressive, showing down only strong hands like AA or KK, or other strong hands like 89s and such. I am dealth K9o utg, and because of my image, i raise to 12 straight. I get 2 callers and the flop comes 92K. I check my two pair, and i get bet into, because checking my hand tells them i'm probably playing AJ or AQ, and i missed the flop. I'm bet 20 dollars. the other guy folds, and i smooth call. Turn comes a blank (like a 3 or something) and I check again. This time I get bet 40$ - only this time I raise 60 to a straight 100. The guy has no idea what i could have, and he calls. The river is the 8 of spades. I Bet 60$, and he folds, but shows me AK. He says I must have slow played Aces or hit a set. I only smiled and mucked my hand.

Yeah, i had the winning hand, but They have no idea I raised preflop with K9. It very well could have been 23 and I could have made that exact same play and got him to lay down his hand, because my image is to play tight, but when i have a hand, i play it hard.
