Hey Chatters,

How many of you play the $ .50 cent tourneys. I am not sure that they are worst the time. Maybe better to find a FR to play. And, win more in less time.
I grind away for three hours to make a profit of $0.78 cents. Need to go back to the drawing board on this one.
Went card dead at the end. Tried to make something happen. But, no luck.
If you have any input, I would appreciate it.

Congrats-I think. Any small buy-in will be bad time/money won unless you win it all. Try the FT daily dollar. No rake and a huge overlay on most weekdays. If not already doing so make sure you play the CC freerolls. Great value there. A even better value is the CC money added buy-in tourneys.(Assuming you have the BR).

Hope that helps cause I'm not sure what your looking for.

Good luck on the felts.

i guess

I guess it has to do with how much you want to chance to how much you want to win. Myself, 2 bucks is all I like to risk at a time. Have you tried the beginners SNG's at bodog ? They pay 5 places instead of 3 like most single table SNG's do. Helps make the bankroll last longer.

Take care and good luck

It all comes down to BRM. If your BR can handle a bigger buyin, than do it. If not, you need to grind the .50 tourny's till you have a BR big enough for larger buyin tournys. Also think about grinding 2nl cash. You can build your roll faster in a shorter period of time.

I play in 1$ tournaments sometimes.
I enjoy it. My best place is 8th (400 players).

I only avoid rebuy-matches.

Freerolls better? HAH. Freerolls really aren't worth the time unless you can consistently finish like in the top 3. I'm not even sure if that's possible. Even then it still might not be worth the time. I only think they're really worth it if you do not want to deposit, and you want to start your bankroll from scratch. Even then you'll be spending hours and hours to win a couple dollars just to get started.

I've never seen a $0.50 tourney on stars.... is this a SnG or MTT or what? I've played the $0.25 tourneys and it does seem like a lot of effort for such a small payday but when you compare it in terms of how much you bought in for its a pretty good return.

Yeah it's all relative to the buy. Keep playing the low limits and if you are cashing, soon enough you will be able to move up and make more and more money.
