Well, I finally did it. I have been reading and watching some games. Went into stars 01/02 6 max (FR was like 3 tables lol).
Between 6-9 tables. Up 2 BI in about 1-1/2 hours. I dont know how many hands. I feel like I have a decent (at best) idea of the basics(!) of PLO. I laid down some str8s on 3 tone rivers, sets were easy to get rid of on mono tone or straight-ed boards, depending on action. Players were pretty easy to read. They played very face up. Bet sizing was lol, like small bets were almost never for value and big bets were almost never bluffs. I dont know if that is right, but it seemed that way.
I enjoyed it. I need to get a better grip on starting hands. Like in EP do I want to even open smaller PP? Do I want to limp or call behind with certain hands? Do I want to be agro with AA-KK pre, like 3-4-5- betting? Better to just call and see a flop?
I had 99 and called a MP raise, flop A-9 4 RB. He checks I bet he raises pot. He looked like a reg, at almost all my tables. I had been playing pretty nutted hands. I did see him semi bluff with TP nut FD OTF (but this was after this hand) So I folded, thinking he will have AA here.... Then vs same player, - after I saw him semi bluff - again, 99. Flop Q 9 x (dont remember) same thing... check, me raise he re raise. so I raise again and it ends up all in..... he has... Guess..... yep. lol QQ. We were both like 180BB ouch....... But all the learning process.
My HEM is showing stats, but I dont have Omaha manager.... I do have HEM pro, so maybe it includes SS PLO?? Can I trust the HUD if I only have HEM2??
I will look through my hands - provided I can view them in HEM, and post some. I dont know if calling is more appropriate in PLO. See a lot of flops and fit or fold at micros.... or agro play?? seems a lot of callers so lots of multi way pots. Nut peddling seems the way the regs play.
EDIT: I checked, and cannot see PLO hands in HEM replayer. Any ideas how I can replay sessions? I dont want to buy a licence for Omaha manager for 01/02.
