I play limit holdem 6 Max but this really goes for any game. If if get a good hand from early position and get called from somebody in late, if i dont hit the flop i am really at a loss of what to do. If I bet i get called pretty often then its usually check bet fold. Should I be playing very tight (even in 6 Max) from the first two seats? Should I not be C-betting that often OOP? any advice on how to play OOP would be great.

By a good hand I mean something like AJ, KJ, J10. This is 6 Max so the chances of AJ being beat is slim.

Depends on a bunch of stuff, but those are borderline hands. I'm not playing all of them all the time UTG, but I will play them occasionally. I'd probably play AJ & KJ, but I wouldn't hate folding them either. JTo is certainly a fold UTG unless you've got nits behind you and deep fish in the blinds, even at a 5 handed table.

If you are having trouble playing those hands oop, then either don't play them oop or change the way you play them. If at all possible for you, maybe try playing them like a pp that hits a set, or aa or kk. This of course depends on whether you can get away with it in terms of your opponents.

He's playing limit so JTo might be a bit loose but the other hands should be standard opens I would think.

As for playing OOP, it sucks, even if you're holding AA. Work on your hand reading and figure out when it makes sense to fire again or to call with your A high hands.

thanks for the comments guys. I think i am going to start playing a bit more defensive and fold the moderate hand from the first two spots. Also I need to start giving people the benefit of the doubt and not 3 betting so often.
