I had a brief internet connection issue last week while I was in the middle of 8-tabling on pokerstars. I was knocked out of two of the tournaments, and was blinded down to almost nothing in three of the others. I bubbled in one more, but in the last two I did end up cashing which was nice.

Point is, I emailed Pokerstars about it, seeing if there were anything they could do. They decided to give me back three buy-ins for what had happened, even though my ISP caused the issue, not Pokerstars. So for that, I say go Pokerstars!

They did say in their response that they can't make a habit of doing this for me, which makes me wonder why they gave me anything back in the first place. But I can't complain at the moment! Hehe.

Nice of them to give you 3 buy-ins for connection issues. You won't really see that anywhere else. I know that FTP gave back but-ins for the BLT debacle, but that was a case of a major failure in their system. I know I have been blinded out of SNG's on FTP due to connection issues, emailed them and after waiting three days i ended up with nada. Just a "sorry for the inconvenience but we see no issues at our end so there's nothing we can/will do."

Since their latest few software updates, I have been spending a lot more time on Stars. I remember commenting that the look of their software made my eyes bleed. Things have changes since then. Still like the look of FTP better, but I'm warming up to it.

That and the wonderful and quick customer support and I see myself playing there more frequently in the future.

they did the same thing for me about a year ago, but it was only one SNG with a 3 dollar buy-in, but still very nice of them to give me a refund, it is now and always will be the only place that I play online poker, I love that site.

Had this just happen to me in a full tilt $10 HU match and they refused to refund me and said the same thing to me.

Obviously they are not obliged to refund at all but it's just nice to see a site like Pokerstars and there great support system.

I've had FTP do this for me on more than one occassion (have had Doyles not take care of something like this & was on bubble of a $50turbo MTT which I ended up busting out of which was total BS).
OP, not so sure it's just 'your' ISP that was causing the disconnects for you.... couple/few(?) days ago Stars was disconnecting on me frequently (prior to the recent update ) & then again a bit today (which sucked!!.. this one spot my bet btn's disappear but somehow I fire out a 'min-3bet'??? wtf is that? I manage to flop NFD, villain donks into me for 'min.'.. I re-raise allin & they snap me off with AIR for stacks.. with KJo... rivers the J, lol. Pretty sure this wouldn't have happened if not for the retarded 'min3bet' preflop).
It was happning only for short periods of time for me on there but enough that I stopped playing on there for now. So... might not just be 'you'.

May I put in a good word for bodog`s customer service too ?

On Monday, I requested a withdrawal of $2000. The money was cleared and arrived in my neteller account within three hours. In my experience, a new record. :)
