I played for the first time on a Pokertek table yesterday and thought I would share my thoughts on any good or bad I found with it. It was my first time at this casino and actually every table game here is electroniic which is a bit different but not really a big deal to me. The poker room has about 10 tables, comfortable chairs and a staff of one, maybe two floor people. I would say what I liked is the fact that you dont have chips(I always thought this would bother me, but I found you get used to it), more hands per hour, and an easy to use interface especially for anyone who has played online poker for any length of time. The bad would be not much as it turns out...honestly the main issue I noticed was when someone left to go to smoke,, or talk on their cell phone(no cell phones at the table at any time, break or no break), or for whatever reason, the floor had to be called to autofold their hand if it was clear the were not going to be back in time to act....This caused a minor delay at times, but it was a pretty small tourney, so not that much of an issue. I did cash in this, took 4th for a modest profit, but this was handled the traditional way... go see the floor, then go to the poker room cage to cash out. My understand is, that at cash games, you get a card, and the money is loaded into your poker room account and when your done, you take it to the cage and get your money. In my case, this casino is a good hour farther than the largest one in my area, but it was a nice diversion and it satisfied my curiosity.

What Casino?

I play on them in Cherokee, NC. Like you said about your casino, all table games in Cherokee, NC are electronic.

For the cash games you put money in your account at the cashier then when you log in with your card and pin at the table you select the amount you want to put in play.

When you log out you can go to the cashier and cash out or leave it there until the next time you play poker.

No dealers to tip and 45-60 hands an hour, and 45 sec timer to act. Rake was 10% to $5max.

I like them OK.

They sent me a $20 freeplay and a free room next month on very little play. I will probably head up there mid Dec again.

It was at the Indiana Live!(thats what the sign says lol) in Shelybville, Indiana, not too far from Indianapolis. It is owned by Indiana Downs Horse Track so you can bet the ponys too if you wish. Not a bad place, but no hotel on site which would be nice but nothing extraordinary really.
