In hand 1, you were leading until the A hit him on the river. Your final hand played 9 8 4 3 2, and your opponent played 8, 7, 6, 3, A for which he won. Prior to the A, his best hand would have been 3, 3, 8, 7, 6.
Hand 2: Winner had 7, 5, 3, 2, A. Other guy had 8, 7, 4, 2, A. You finished with 7, 6, 4, 2, A
Does that help? Remember, Razz
hands are determined by looking at the highest of you low cards being played first, then moving downward, so you did have the other guy beaten because your 7 was lower than his 8. Against the winner though, you both had 7, but his second card was lower (his 5 vs your 6).
