I was just wondering what purpose the stars accolades have. I have no stars on Hero and I have more than 100 VIP points in that room. Carbon Poker has credited me a half bronze star with just as many VIP points, but Sportsbook has given me a half gold star and I have not been an active player in that room for quite some time. I searched for an answer and could not find a thread.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I assume it is just a marketing tool to encourage more play to achieve more stars , I disabled them in preferences as it serves no purpose I can see to let people know how long I have played.

On merge network, you get stars for certain amount of VIP's earned (suppose to). Thats all they are is a show of how much you have played on that specific site by the stars you have accumulated. I have noticed on hero that the star progression/awarding has not been happening for over 6 months. Maybe they are phasing them out as they really have no purpose as to how good someone is/isn't.
