PokerStars, as we once knew it, is gone. PS wants more poker revenues, but it also wants more than that. It is preparing to serve fewer poker pros and more entertainment seekers. It makes sense. Money can be made serving the masses, not just a small poker elite.

PS has the best online poker in the world, so it does not fear losing its poker base or revenues. It is free to seek revenues elsewhere. PS is aware of its growing money streams in non-poker areas. What will PS do? Indicators point to companies with which PS is partnering or buying. Countries into which PS is expanding, and its attempts to get into brick and mortar further indicate corporate direction.

PS will always have poker - online, live or both. But, PS, as once it was, is gone. As non-poker revenues increase, poker’s reduced status in the corporate schema will become clearer...
