I received an email from poker school online today. Because my girlfriend also plays and gets involved with the poker school promotions. I can't play because of that.
Here is what they said: At PokerSchoolOnline we take the security and integrity of our promotions seriously. In order to prevent fraud we regularly perform security checks and we do not allow multiple accounts from the same household or with matching IP addresses participate in our promotions. Unfortunately as your account is connected with other accounts already registered at the poker school this may mean that it will be ineligible to take part in some of our promotions.
This decision is final and we thank you for your understanding in this matter.
I understand the need for rules and I won't spoof my IP address to get around them. I played my first cards chat game last week, with my girlfriend sitting and playing next to me and didn't hand over the password to her. It was tough but she understood. (I'm still recovering from the beating lol) I know there is nothing that can be done and I will miss taking part in the promotions. Just wanted to let people know if your significant other is playing this might happen to you too.

that's what happens in a world full of bots and other assorted cheaters. a man's word just isn't what it used to be.
you always could try playing on computers at your local library, usually time limted to 1 hour and the library itself's hours or your nearest college library which is more likely to allow untimed use and play at later hours, but you won't be able to download an interface except MAYBE to a thumb drive, but there could also be firewall issues.
if it means that much to you, those are legit workarounds.
it really sucks that ISPs charge way more for net access than they should and there probably aren't any $10 dial up options anymore either.
you could also buy a cheap laptop and get wifi for about $100 a year.
