I have been searching the blogs on Lock and it seems like they are trying to turn things around was wondering if any one from CC has any positive input since they put up a 500 freeroll to depositors it would seem they have some faith in them .any reply from someone from CC would be appreciated .

Well this all depends on if Lock will get there deposit situation taken care of. I think once they actually fix it and not takes months on end than people will come back to it. Yes they get the traffic, but other sites are starting to grow also because of them leaving Lock. Plus lock sells for like .5/1 right now. Which is awful. Its a shame that this is happening to Lock.

It's going to be very hard for them to turn around I think. I am currently waiting 12 weeks for a cashout. They have killed the game selection with segregated tables and fair play technology. Then they did a bunch of things with the tournaments. All of the signs point to they are spending player funds.

I'm have no idea what they are thinking over there. I actually play on intertops which is on the same network since Lock left Merge and purchased Intertops. Within the last couple of couple of weeks they have absolutely butchered their schedule. I liked playing the 5.00 + .50 $300 and $500 GTD tourneys. There had been three $500 GTD running at 8:00, 9:30 and 10:30 in the evenings, as well as another $500 GTD at 3:00 in the morning and a $300 GTD at 5:00 in the morning. All but the $300 GTD at 5:00AM were removed from the schedule, apparently due to frequent overlays.

Alot of people (including me) seem to be wondering why they didn't reduce the guarantees instead of removing these games completely from the schedule. In their place they have scheduled a bunch of $10 rebuy/add on, bounty, turbo and turbo bounty tournaments. I won't go into particulars, but I've played all of these formats and they each seem to speak directly to the souls of donkeys in their own way. They're fun for a change from time to time, but for $10 a pop I'd prefer not to play tournament formats that encourage play so ridiculous that it makes the play in a $100 freeroll look like day five of the wsop.

I'm trying to give them a little time to figure things out. I don't know understand why it's so hard. I'm not paid to sit around and think about this stuff, yet I've been able to figre out that they could eliminate the overlays in some of their tournaments just by lowering the guarantees a little. For instance, they could offer $5 $300 GTD tournaments in place of the $5 $500 GTDs . Because the buy-ins are the same and they seem to attract about the same amount of players, the first place prize money is similar. In fact, the $300 frequently pay more places, which might even encourage higher participation since players feel like they have a better chance of making the money. Eh, what do I know. I'm just some guy who likes to play poker. But one thing I do know, is that if they don't get it together soon, I'm withdrawing my money and taking my business elsewhere.

The history of sites in trouble leads me to believe that they will not. Why play if you can't cash out?

They do not really have much incentive too as far as I can see, I think they are going to get as much cash in the coffers that they can until USA can finally play legal poker (hopefully one day soon).

https://twitter.com/ToddWittelesTodd Witteles tweeted a little while ago: "Inside source: Lock deeply affected by Cyprus bank crisis & player funds are gone." What do you think the over/under on Lock's survival is? I say gone by WSOP? ...

lol Lock. People are tying to get rid of their Lock funds for .40 on the dollar on other forums. That's gotta tell ya something. They also just started telling people if you receive transferred funds you're not eligible to withdraw said funds...................EVER.

Lock Poker did not purchase Intertops. Intertops is a very large and very reputable 30 year old sportsbook and casino operation. It is an order of magnitude larger than Lock Poker is/was/ever will be.

Intertops runs their own separate cashier from Lock Poker. Here is a compilation of posts the Intertops forum rep has made regarding their cashier/Lock Poker: Link to Post

Lock "purchased" a majority share of the Cake Poker Network and rebranded it to Revolution. Since then, the inside track is that Lock has sold equity back to Cake and at last report, only had a 40% stake. This was private talk until Adam&Eve, a Revolution skin that shut it's poker room doors because Lock isn't paying them their reconciliation payments, stated this 40% figure publicly, thus giving it some credence.

Intertops does allow players from Washington via invitation.

Personally I'd rather see them paying this $10,900 out to paying customers who are trying to cashout.
Does giving away 100seats each week really generate more business on the site? I suppose 5% of those fish might cash in the $100k (maybe that's an over-estimate?) and then they will be handing it back to others on the tables (or waiting for a cashout... can you even cashout on that site without make a deposit there first?).
meh, they should make those 50seat freerolls only open to depositing players imo.
