It's already happened on their Belgium client as a "test" so it's probably only a matter of time before they do the same on the main client

The Pyramid bonus saw a lot of players move up from NL2 and NL5 just for the bonus, and the amount of extra rake it made them was MASSIVE. That's why they extended the bonus for another month, and ran their test on Belgium. Forced me to rethink my BRM since I suddenly no longer had NL2 to fall back on if things went sour.

It's only a matter of time before they make it general, imo...

I would say it's to do with the rake/profit % - also to force the player to play higher limits.

I couldnt think of rationale behind such step. THe argument about server costs do not hold water because they have to process play money tables the same way as real money - and with play money there isnt ANY rake at all. FORCING people to go to higher stakes? Seriously? You've gotta be kidding me!

I was planning to play some cash game at NL2, but was not able to find more than one table, that was full all the time. My bankroll doesn't allow me yet to play higher, so I guess I will have to play freerolls for longer now. :(
I understand that they want to make as much money as possible. That's the main purpose of their business after all. Just a pity for a certain group of players.
