Betonline fraud complaint & awful player srv/support
I'm not one to typically post / complain in public about any disappointing experience, bad service, e t c. However, giving what I've experienced at BetOnline. AG I thought it necessary to do so on here as well as other forms in the hope that it allows others to avoid their site and poker room and choose another option.
For the sake of boredom and too much information I will keep the details short but please add any of your experiences with him specifically as I've heard from others that unfortunately what happened to me is not a one-time occurrence. Although this was a support and security issue I have seen on here many times that the site whether it's the sports book, poker room or otherwise has had several technical issues, player Services complaints Etc. Over my many years as a member of their site whether it was poker or the Sportsbook I've experienced them as well so what I'm about to write only adds to the laundry list of reasons to avoid their site all together.
The short version is one of the credit cards I use to make deposits on their site had fraudulent activity on it so my credit card company ask for permission to investigate my transactions over a 10-day period (of course I gave them permission to do) One of those merchants that had three transactions was our friends at BetOnline (Of course over a 10-day period). They were not the only ones so the credit card company investigated many transactions with none of which gave me an issue or had any questions for the credit card company. BetOnline instead decided that they would go into my account and reverse the last 3 transactions I made with them, bringing my balance to negative $35. Once I noticed this, which was within 24 hours, I called customer support and then player services and then received the runaround. After speaking with my credit card company I was advised that BetOnline saw the credit card companies investigation as charges and a denial of accountability instead of what it actually was an investigation which again no other merging questions.
As a side note the fraudulent activity was found, flagged and as a result I closed my credit card account. Instead of admitting to what they did, the supervisor with a player services, gave me the run once again - told me I was wrong and said that they already reimbursed me for those transactions in the full amount to my credit card that had been closed well before they said they gave me a refund. I explained this and was told again that I was wrong and there was nothing they could or would do. At this time I explained, I considered this fraud as they withdrew money that they were not supposed to and we're now telling me that they would not give it back to me.
After try another Avenue and emailing the poker Department directly as well as player services, I was again given the runaround, told it was being investigated and that I would hear back and receive a resolution within 24 hours. After emailing them one more time 48 hours later, I was told resolution would be provided within 24 hours, again. Obviously, that did not happen and 4 days after the initial conversation I have now filed a internet fraudulent case, will be posting on additional sites and have moved my account over to
ignition poker.
Again, I say this just to warn others in the hope that it does not happen to anyone else or if you do have an issue you were prepared to receive no help and be berated and told you are off - thanks for listening and I hope you all share your experiences with BetOnline as well whether they be good or bad as I honestly experience both through my many years on the site hyphen good luck everyone!
