Yesterday I was playing a low stakes hold em game on there site. I betting this guy all the way to the river before the cards were shown the site dissconected me and by the time i was reconected my hand was timed out and folded and cost my $3.50 .
I think this is a bunch of bull because my internet was working fine ,so i contacted pokerstars with the info of the hand number log info and yet over a day and half have yet to get refuned. they keep saying they will get to it but come on the you refund as fast as they collect makes me think that i need to go to another site

It sucks but a day and a half is not long at all to wait in poker site support terms. Give it three or four days, then maybe we can talk about shoddy customer service.

What if the problem wasnt at PS's end?

What if the problem was due to lag in between you and PS?

Now you have to try and sue your ISP.

There isnt a direct connection between you and PS, you will be hopping along other servers enroute (and thats all down to your own ISP).

When I had the problem that OP had, pokerstars support said that it was not a fault on their end but they refunded me anyway. However they did say that this was a one off and that they would not do it again. It was only a few $$$ but I appreciated it all the same. Also OP I believe PS support to be the best of any poker site, they got got back to me with my problem within a few hours and had refuded my cash, just be patient they might be very busy right now.

There are time that there will be delays on your transactions because they need to verify it. Try waiting for a week. In other sites, you need to wait 2 to 3 weeks for the answers to your concerns and money matters.

As far as Pokerstars having lag, you clearly have not played on Absolute Poker... There you can grow old while waiting to reconnect or wait for others to reconnect mainly. Still, like others have said, Pokerstars support is superior to any site out there. Trust me.. they are not ignoring you, rather more likely, they see similar emails all the time... No offense meant as I dont know and I am not saying your not being honest.. .I am just looking at it from Pokerstars view. All the best to you, and welcome to Cardschat.

LOL seriously. Pokerstars has a better connecton than anything else on you computer.

Last year, I had a problem with my broadband for a few days, couldnt even get to google on firefox or ie. Stars worked fine.

Yeah, go over to FTP. There you will at least not be silly enough to contact support when you get disconnected while playing there. 100% it is always your fault at FTP :) I fought once for a week or more to get an $11 refund in an MTT where the whole table was being disconnected, as well as more than half the players in the MTT. Yet, it was my computer connection not FTPs. Finally, they gave me $11 as a one time "favor". I stopped a lot of play for a long while over there after that.

FTP might well fight PS for top spot if they ever took care of the customer properly.

when i first registered for full tilt
i deposted £50 (UK)
i played 90 player sng
a 45 player sng and an
18 player sng (all $1 entry)
these were played separately.
all three tourny's i got to the final table
and the software froze and i was 'sat out'
till the end. (internet was still on).
i emailed FT they said there was no prob at there end
so the fault was mine .
I thought that was a bit dodgy so
i withdrew my £50 the next day.
this left $16 in my account from them 3 sng's
this is now $168 + step3 ticket + 5 tickets
to the sunday freeroll.
i have not had any probs with the software since then
just the odd glitch now and then.
so essentially this BR has cost me nothing.
:)

hi

It sure can be frustrating when you get diconnected on a pokersite, especially when you have re-raised with a big hand & then get disconnected. It never seems to be my own computer but I have heard that a person's Internet service doesn't go directly to the pokersite & your signal might be getting lost somewhere along the pathway (not sure of the lingo).
My experience with PokerStars support is that they have been very good & always have prompt & fair service. (way better than the other site I play mostly on - fulltiltpoker - can wait forever for a response from them).
