I was wondering how many if any of my fellow CC'ers have tried the new "STEPS" tournaments at Full Tilt? I bought in for $ 1.10 at Step 0 level and made the money so was given a Step 1 ticket for a $3.30 buyin tourney. I played the next night at Step 1 and won my Step 1 ticket back.

Any else trying to move up the ladder?:)

The steps are pretty soft up until the third one. It really is worth to start out at the Step 0/1 and work your way up to the 24+2 buy-in you can use in an SNG/MTT.

Yea I've had great success with these. Got up to the £69+6 games and have been breaking even or better 75% of the time. Doesn't build a bankroll, but easy rake and easy ironman!

i've been using them for my ironman also. while you aquire tickets and win more you use them insted of your BR.
and it is pretty cushy until you get to level 3, that's where i've been having my trouble.
but don't forget level 3 and up can be used to enter other tournies not just steps.
happy stepping..............:D :icon_shak

Please explain how it helps with rake?

paumarhas, I truly am a rookie at this stuff. I assume in helping your ironman you mean by bulding up your Fult Tilt Points everyday. Is that correct? I gave steps a second try at Level 1 tonight and was chip leader until the second guy took out third place. So i ended up second and got a Level 2 ticket. I did not think that was to bad for my second try. Wish me luck and maybe I will catch you at level 3. p.s. good luck with that level.:D

I have been grinding these out to get the level three ticket to play 24 + 2 matrix tournaments. I have started at Step 1 on six different occassions and have made it to Step 3 five times. They are very soft in the early levels.

Nope. The first step is not free so count me out. Too bad, but I think I'll live.

The step tournaments are under sit & go>steps>all>all types. Then make sure that you don't have anything unchecked in your advandced filter and make sure that all the levels are checked. I believe that step 2 is under low and it costs like $8. GL and hope you can find it.

Got it! Thanks. I was looking for them under Tourneys, not Sit-n-gos.

Do I understand u can use the step tickets for other type tourneys? Like instead of playing an $8 step 2, play a couple $3.40 sit n goes?

It doesn't necessarily help with rakeback, but the payout structure is much broader, making it easier to break even.
Break even player, + rakeback, = profitable player!
I'm not quite there yet, but getting close! haha.

Not only that, a player like myself who usually plays $5 games with 50cent rake, finds themselves playing $200 games with $16 rake in no time (albeit not regularly!) That can add up to a tasty deposit from rakebackpro's come Friday evening!
