Full Tilt has a new Jackpot Freeroll promotion running were you can win up to $1000 for free. Yesterday I logged in not knowing about the promotion and seen the Free JackPot sng and start playing.

I grind these for hours. Today my account was locked and all winnings removed. My account is currently re-opened.

They said players were meant to play only one so the winnings were removed from my account. I have talked to others at the table this has happened to them as well.

Anyone here play them yesterday and have their winnings removed ? Do you think they are justified in removing winnings ?

I think they should pay out. Time is money and We spent our time grinding on their site in these games. Time myself and others would have done something else with.

If they only wanted us to play only one... registration should have been restricted after our first game. They make a mistake and we have to pay for it.

Not Happy

I was also informed this morning that my account was suspended.
I did read the rules yesterday and they stated you could play for the day so they have since changed the rules.
My biggest problem with it is there have been plenty of tournaments that I have tried to play in but have not been allowed because I didn't meet the requirements. I have also played in tournaments that let me play one per day and after that it tells me I am unable to play as I have used my ticket for the day.
Having said all that i did find it unusual but at the same time I thought it was perhaps them giving back for the holidays lol.
I am still suspended and wrote them a couple emails regarding THEIR screw up not mine.
The way I see it they screwed up so why should I pay. I can assure you the rules page did not read like that yesterday.

I was suspect of the rules not saying that yesterday as they gave me a link to the rules in an email that the url said ... Freeroll issue

Here is the exact link they gave me : http://www.fulltilt.com/promotions/m...Freeroll_Issue

There is a topic on the 2 plus 2 forum .. . if you are a member their I suggest posting the same info in that topic.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...d-multiple-players-balance-full-tilt-1578079/

MOD: If the link breaks any rules here .. please remove.

Edit : First link not working .. new one notice how it says freeroll issues in the URL -- http://www.fulltilt.com/promotions/...=email&utm_campaign=Fast_Track_Freeroll_Issue

So you thought they really were giving away thousands of dollars per player and never suspected that it might be a bit too good to be true? Or did you know that wasn't their intent but hoped they wouldn't catch it? You had to know that they were very unlikely to let you keep those funds. Someone on their end certainly screwed up but you'll have a hard time convincing me that you're actually owed any money. Wouldn't be surprised to see them offer some sort of bonus as a way of apologizing though.

Honestly, I thought it was a Christmas Promo that was up for a limited time. I was already logged in to full tilt when I notice the new game added. As soon as you were finished a game you would get a pop up that said something similar to would you like to play again ? I think you are going to be hard pressed to find someone that isn't going to click yes. It would be reasonable to think if I wasn't allowed to play than I wouldn't be able to register.

There are plenty of issues I have with how they handled this.

1. First off I believe this is no fault of the players and Full Tilt should take responsibility. I don't think they even apologized for their error.

2. Allot of players thought this was a Christmas Promotion. They spent hours of their day playing this game. Some played for 8 + hours. They should be compensated for their time. There is no reason for Full Tilt not to catch an Error like this sooner than that.

3. There are players who lost some of this money at the tables in games they would never of played because it is out of reach of their bank rolls. So not only did they lose this money and have what ever left seized. They currently have to repay back funds they thought they won in a Christmas Promo but lost some at the tables. Some of these players are Micro players that were just taken a shot with what they thought was free cash that they won.

4. If they are seizing funds won in a game they set up incorrectly they also should be giving funds back to anyone that was affected (no matter how small ) in any Sit n Go / Jackpot / Tourney that players were in that used these funds to register. For example lets say player A had $0 but notice these Free games and wins $200 in them... takes $50 to a tourney and knocks out 3 players and takes chips from countless others leaving some players short stacked before eventually busting before the money. Shouldn't these affected players be given there buy ins back ?

5. There are reports of the rules of the game changing in the thread linked in the above post. ( players are saying they have screen shot proof of this but haven't shared them yet ) So I can't confirm if it is true or not but The link that full tilt provided me url has the words Freeroll issue right in it. In other words the link they gave me was sent to a page that was created after the issue.

I am not sure if I covered everything but I think that is enough text for one post.

To be clear I don't expect Full Tilt to give me or others these funds back. And unless they did change the rules at some point between players playing multiple games and seizing money then they are legally in the right to take funds back.

Edit: Regardless of any of that I wanted this mess up by Amaya recorded on poker forums and brought to players attention.

Thankfully the games are currently fixed so that a player can only register for one.

And maybe criminal prosecution of players who had to withdraw money?

They are going after players who withdraw money. What Full Tilt decided to do in this situation is let players who did not win allot keep their money. Most players that won over $50 will have to pay back funds. That includes any money cashed out or lost at the tables. I'm not sure about legal action but they are going after it. There are reports of not so friendly emails from tilt accusing players of theft.

I have not read the rules of participation in the tournament, but did the right thing, that did not play more than 2 tournaments per day. I met other poker rooms such rules. And I decided that here, too, there may be restrictions. And did not play. I was not blocked and nothing taken away. Be careful in the future.

I don't think that the software can be updated like that while you are logged in, updates happen before you log in, is it possible that you didn't see the new game added when you first logged in.

Full Tilt is the one that needs to be careful with how they set up their games. And not only that but also with how they advertise promotions.

:dontknow:

While it may be possible that I didn't notice this game when I first logged in to later notice it, I am more than certain sites can add games without an update. I have been in the back room of an online poker room before. Maby FT can't but I doubt it. It would be similar to a new forum section being added to this forum, an update wouldn't be needed to see it.

Taking the money back is not the only issue here. They handled this horribly. And even been accusing players of theft. ( Not me personally )

Edit: Something I don't think I mention yet... once they noticed the "error" they stopped the games and let players continue to play with these funds for well over 12 hours before eventually freezing accounts and seizing funds. There is no reason to let players play with these funds if your intent is to seize them. In doing so they affected other players.

That is the biggest issue for me. The tone of the emails players are getting and lack of apology. I did get one after a few emails back and forth.

A simple mass email to players affected acknowledging their mistake along with an apology would go a long way instead of accusing players of theft ect.

Also since Full Tilt has seized funds, I feel as players who lost money to anyone using these funds / lost buy in playing in a sng / tourney should be compensated.

so as not to write post-game complaints you should always carefully read the rules of frirollov because it's free money,do you really think that team fulltitl so stupid to give a thousand))

Full Tilt is owned by the same company that owns pokerstars. They gave away tons of free cash during the holiday season. And so did other sites. In fact PokerStars is having four $1 million freerolls for players this year. It is not unreasonable to think they decided to give away ``thousands`` in a different promo.
