Exorbitant fees

PokerHost- a site on the merge network charges $65 for you to make a withdrawal by check. The minimum withdrawal is $100 but you must have that plus $65 to make a withdrawal.
So, the bottom line is that you need to have $165 in your acct to get a check for $100.
Does this seem right?

They charge $65 for the service? (or do they insist on you having a min. balance of $65 in your account above & beyond your withdrawl amount?). I can't see them charging $65 as a fee... seems insane!!

Nevernevernevernevernever play at Poker Host! There are so many other good sites out there who don't charge a dime: poker stars is the best, imo. ALWAYS read the site's T&C before putting your hard earned $$ on it.

I too thought i misheard (like clemens) but i heard right.
I was soo pissed.

I asked customer service on their site and this is what they had to say.

Visitor: Do you charge 65 for withdrawals
Josh: depends on the method
Visitor: What are the methods you charge 65 for?
Josh: Western Union & Money Gram

Tell them i know a company that can claim back their illegal bank charges. Its no win no fee.

Seriously god knows how that site has got any players.

im pretty sure carbon charges 15 dollars to withdraw.

pokerhosts also charges 65 for sending you a check. I sh!t you not

how bout FT and PS do they charge as well?

No, they don't. Although I should clarify that I have never actually gotten a check from them. I deposit/withdraw using eChecks.
