Doyle's Room is switching to cake network from microgaming. Ok for them. I am wondering about microgaming now. Has anyone heard if they are in trouble? I have a lot of money on intertops and love the site. should I be concerned about my money? I lost when Wingows and Big Juicy switched. Don't want to lose again.

At Microgaming, each individual room handles its own back-office operations and handles your money. So it really isnt if Microgaming is in trouble, as much as how is your individual skin handling the money.

You can see this example by the 27 Microgaming Skins that went bankrupt that were owned by Tusk (and maybe one other). Since Microgaming never held the funds, they have not been deemed responsible for the money.

In most of these Network situations, you must pay attention to the individual skin ownership, not the Network.

Good Example is Cake Network-- Huge differnece between joining Sportsbook.com and Cake. Payment times and troubles will definitely vary between the two unless and until Sportsbook gets its act together

As far as I'm concerned the best reason to play in Doyles is those 11 c + $10 cash added turbo bountys. They are like guaranteed wins. As far as I can see this move has eliminated them. I have not played on Doyles in a year and don't see myself going back anytime soon.

Too bad, in a similar vein, the Cake Network (where Doyles Room is heading) has some affordable ;) and crazy .10 and .25 rebuys that generate a pretty good prize for the price

I have also been wondering about microgaming. All their daily freerolls went from 1000-500 dollars to 500-200 dollars and then two weeks later they were all reduced to 100 dollars. Also their daily tournament guarantees are being reduced all the time, they used to have a daily $ 35.000 guarantee, but that is now $ 20.000. They must be losing a lot of action. Not a good sign.

NOTICE TO ALL CARDSCHATTERS!

Many poker rooms who have joined the Microgaming Poker Network have gone because Microgamings client support (support for the poker room operators such as doylesroom etc) is very poor.

Plus there are many teething problems on Microgamings Poker Software which results in disconnects etc...

I would not worry about your money on any microgaming site as they are very secure.

I will always remember the days when microgaming was booming all day every day but now there player base has gone down a lot.

Since Poker Night Live finished (a UK online poker show which only showed Microgaming Rooms tournament and cash games with a 5 minute delay) microgaming has gone down the pan.

about the free rolls

Another problem with the free rolls is they eliminated the requirement of one rakes hand, so in addition to the lowered prize, there are now 3000 players where there used to be 400

Doyle's didn't make the change for USA players because we have been allowed on there for over a year now. Originally we were banned but that didn't last long.

Uh, yes they did

Doyles has been prevented by Microgaming from accepting ANY NEW US players for a little bit now

I know of one reason to play on doyles: 11c games with $10 cash added. Without these games I will never go back to Doyles. I have been playing online for less than a year and as a US citizen have always been allowed in microgaming games.

Doyles, in general, is greedy. His site charges fees the other microgaming sites never did.

But his cheapo 11 c cash added games are all but impossible to lose money playing and they are great fun. No one there seems to get the concept of a rebuy and e1 loses. I especially like donkout all in omaha. Because you can rebuy 5 times and becasue everyone thinks it's like pl, it's more easy money. Ya I'll never get rich that way but it was fun when e1 asked why I always won.

For now, as I can't find the loyalty cheapo games that made doyles cool, I'm on sabatical from Doyles.

I'm confused by all this, b/c last night Doyle's downloaded the Cake software, and now I can't tell the difference between Cake, DR, or Players Only except for the logos. I can't see any reason to have all three, so I'm trying to decide which ones to get rid of (PO has always been a pain in the ass to navigate with the sportsbook and poker room, anyway, so I'm choosing between DR and Cake.)

This pisses me off a little, b/c I just decided to check out DR about a week ago, and I liked the way the microgaming was set up. I sure don't need another site with the same set-up and games as I already have on Cake. WTF?

In case you hadn't noticed....although they are on the same network....there are some distinct differences between Cake and Player's only. Player's only has "cash" freerolls...whereas Cake does not. As great as Doyle's was on Microgaming, I am sure that they have plenty planned for their move. I am aware of an opening bash freeroll(reg'n starts Thurs), and know that they are working on many great tournaments UNIQUE to their site. Hope this changes your opinion. Good luck on and off the felts.

Thanks for the info! I'll stick around and check it out before I do anything else.

Just FYI... PokerTime and Golden Riviera (both Microgaming sites) have the 10-cent and 11-cent SNGs. Like you say, you'll never get rich off of them, but if you don't go nuts you can usually survive the donkfest and double-up, then build a BR to bigger tourneys.

I have upgraded my Doyle'sroom site and so far it looks pretty good. The only problem I had was that my account did not show my money. I had to contact them about it and in a few hours after they updated their database my money was in my account. The graphics look great. Have play in a play money game just to check it out. So far I like what I see.

Doyles

The main reason Doyles moved to the cake/goldchip network, was to allow ALL USA players on their site, instead of having to ban the 13 or so sites that micro gaming did not allow to play.
Micro and intertops in particular, are well run for the most and in no financial trouble.Intertops is the best of the bunch. No worries!

I think I'm going to check out some of the other microgaming sites, just to see what's up.
