Try making sure you have your flash player up to date.
Turn off any virus scanner.

Yes, I got that
the solution:
1st, check if you have installed enough Ram=memory, it happend when my PC runs with 6G ram, but when changed to 16G it seldom happens.

2nd, flash player, may have some problem working on 64bit system[if you are using 32bit system, looks it is not a problem] -keep it up to date.

3rd, see if any hardware setting , conflict with BCP setting, eg, sound, hot key, as BCP comes with hot key , like F1=fold, but like if you playing with some PC games with the same hotkey function, that will be frozen. if in that case, open only one of them.

There's another thread somewhere on CC that mentions some stuff about a freeze up problem (I'm sure you can find it if you use the search feature).

For sure it has nothing to do with whether or not you're only using 6gigs or RAM (I have an old laptop with 1GB Ram & it runs BlackCHip perfectly).

yes if not running a HM2 or PT4, 1G RAM is enough for most of the poker sites to run smoothly, but with HM2 or PT4 , 1G ram is mostly will have pop up something like "low resources"
