Hi all,

I know I haven't been online much anymore. I've been super busy with "real" life and most of my free time involves more playing and less posting.

Anyway, I've managed to get a seat at the WCOOP Event #1 at pokerstars worth $530. It's got a guarenteed prize pool of $800,000 I'm expecting it will likely be over 1million when it starts.

That by far and away will be the biggest tourny I've ever played. Just wondering what the biggest tourny's you guys have ever played in.

I entered a $400 tournament at a casino in ireland.

Came 60th out of 150 odd. The hand that knocked me out..

All in with KK

Called by JJ

J on flop.

Ah well, good £200/$400 wasted there :)

Good luck Hesh - question, if you were offered $530 instead would you take it?

Most i've ever paid is $100 on noble SnG. Just lost my 10th in a row SnG and went on tilt, empyting rest of account. Won $420, but it was a stupid thing to do!

I've played in the $500,000 on stars and on party but didn't get too far. Pretty much play every week in the 250k on party. That event sounds a monster..could you give me any more details?

StackThemUp, go to www.pokerstars.com , there are a ton (14/15) WCOOP events this year all ranging in buy-ins from $215-$2600.

Heshkak, have you ever though of unregistering for the WCOOP event and taking the w$ instead? I am merely offering a suggestion to look into. Depending on the state of your bankroll, I might consider unregistering for the tournament and taking the 530 w$ and being able to play a ton of tournaments in the $20-$50 buy-in range. Just a thought, you might be able to turn a bigger profit in 20 $20-$50 events than in one shot at a tourney. Just something to think about...

Hi Chic,
Unfortunately as i'm based in the UAE,most gaming sites are banned due to cultural and religious beliefs. So the only way i get wind of these things is through here etc. If someone could pm me and send me the setup program i'd be very grateful.

From the sounds of things,it sounds like he won his seat through a satellite and i'm pretty sure if he did this,he can't take out the buy in cost. (correct me if i'm wrong).

At pokerstars you can indeed unregister for events and they give you tournament dollers, they cannot be cashed out but CAN be used for sit and go's and entry into all of their other tournaments. They cannot be used in ring games either. Its a tough call but i rekon that i'd have a shot at the big one.

Thanks Tenbob for the info.Sounds like a reasonable policy compared to other sites where you win a seat into a big tournie. I'd too take a shot at the big one...you can't win unless you play and especially if its at a reduced fee to you (through satellite).

Actually, my plan when I got the seat was to unregister and take the $Tournament dollars. Then play SNG and turn it back into cash. However, when I unregistered, it gave me $W dollars which can ONLY be used in MAIN EVENT tournaments. After giving it some thought I decided the best opportunity for me to make some cash would be to stay in that tournament and take my shot.

There are many people who are willing to buy $W if you decide you would rather take the cash (you won't get face value in $, but you should get close to it), just google "Pokerstars $W" or something. Stars support will handle all trades for you as well, so there's no risk involved.

That said, gl if you do choose to play. I guess you're "hesh" on Stars? I'll probably be watching - for some reason I enjoy randomly watching tournaments I'm not even nearly bankrolled for. :)

I won a freeroll to a UK open satelite. I then won the satellite and got into the final and winning that would get me into the UK open. This was on pacific poker.
My brother was with me but we got the dates mixed up and when we logged on we had missed it. Luckily it had been cancelled and i got the entrance fee back. So i ended up with $130 for free.

"hesh" I'm assuming, table 224. 263rd, 341 remain.

If "hesh" isn't, err, hesh imma feel pretty stupid. >.>

Edit: I can't ask him to check because I only have $300 or so in my Stars acct at the moment, and you have to have a buyin for the event in your account for observer chat. xD

Hesh, PM me for a way to get 95-97 cents on the dollar for your W$ by turning it into real cash. Unless you want me to post another site publicly.

*edit*
Unless the damn thing is over, in which case disregard my previous comments until you once again need W$ converted to real cash.

Hey guys!

Thanks to Dorkus for following my play! I hope I did cardschat proud. I know I'm psyched about the $1,200!!!

I'm disapointed I lost the coin flip at the end but my goal was to make the money and I did better than that.

Very, very nice show - I won't pretend I saw everything because I've been keeping tabs on about 5 tables at once for most of the thing (couple of other people I know and a couple of the pro's tables for the comedy railbirds). Regardless you semed to play it pretty solidly standard tight/agg, with the benefit of some nice timing on occasion ^^. Missed your bust out, but if it was a standard flip all you can do is shrug yer shoulders and say "gg". :)

I think tomorrow night imma play some micro game or other while I keep tabs on a couple of people I know in the PLO event just to keep my brain alive, as I feel like it's melting atm (I can't inagine the pain of actually playing for 11 hours straight :().

I played a live poker tournament where first prize is $5000 and the buy-in was $100. There is another one coming where the buy-in is $150 (but no re-buys) and first prize is $7000. I deciding whether I should go or not. $150 is a lot of money to gamble (in my current financial situation). :dontknow:
