Hi guys, I'm somewhere in between a donk, and a shark(at least I hope so) I was pretty much homeless w/o Internet for a very long time and just found out u.s. players can still play. Definitely need good advice on where to do that, and I can't afford to make a bad choice lol. For some reason I remembered cc always steered me in the right direction before. Been forever but I finally have a good job, internet connection, computer, and checking account. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

If you like anonymous gaming you should check out Bovada. It also has a lot of U.S. traffic and better guarantees than merge. I am from Ohio as well and was wondering the same thing, So I switched from merge and have had a lot more success at Bovada.(It is also rated best site for U.S. players)

Traffic is the bugaboo these days for US players.

There are actually a lot more sites available to US players than any of us know. Many are subscription based sites, meaning you pay a fee up front every month and then play your heart out. These are primarily tourney based sites.

For ring play, our options are more limited,

Merge, Bovada, Revolution, WPN, and Lock are mostly available to US players.

Lock has payout problems, so don't go there.

WPN has proven payouts in pretty quick fashion, as does Bovada. Have not read a recent merge payout report, but I got an email promising speed. Some revolution skins pay fast, others don't. None will approach the old days when Netteller worked. For US players the fastest is a couple of days to the WPN debit card. For checks, under 2 weeks is normal, except at Lock, which has not had a recent report that I have seen.

Find the payout reports thread for recent results.

I will guess the consensus will suggest Bovada, or Merge.

Game variety drops with traffic. Bovada and Merge have higher traffic, and thus a wider variety of games.

Thanks to all you guys for your help. I downloaded Brovada and Carbon today and I think I'm gonna start small at brovado. I repped Cardschat as my referral. I hope I didn't mess that up. If I would've seen these replies before I did that I surely would've given it ya. I'm sorry, I won't make that mistake again. Thanks again. Good luck to everyone ;) Can't wait to share by first big tourney win!!

Thanks, do they still have any non-private freerolls? I used to play some pretty good ones there awhile back. Although I'm probably just gonna deposit tomorrow anyway. What are the best bonus codes? Any cc specials I should be aware of at eiter brovada or carbon? Sorry bout all the questions lol

Sorry(I think I remember now haha)

:D Meant for all those of those replies to directed towards individual members. Think it's starting to come back now. God, it's been forever since i posted in a forum. I most definitly plan to be a valuable, active, and entertaining member of the Cardschat circle. At least to the best of my abilities

I just restarted (also) at Bovada a couple days ago and find the zone tables to be full of fish. =)

Freerolls as we/you remember them are few and far between. Nearly non-existent.

However, you will get net depositors freerolls at Merge, maybe Bovada.

Another place you might look at is Players. They are Merge, but they are like Carbon before the updates. They still have freerolls and are running daily fr satty for a holiday 20k fr. They don't have the OPS going on and fields appear smaller (mtt side of things). And no 4hrs late regs for 50gtd game. I just found this site again. Had an acc with them before they went to merge.
But, this might be a site to get some practice with the freerolls.

Thank you very much, I could use a little sharpening up before I dive head first into a shark tank ;)

Thanks ;) I really do love the cc forum. It truly is a wonderful asset to players of all skill. I was not really expecting to taken back in with open arms( especially after my extended hiatus lol) wow!! :)
