I tried to register on some of the Italian sites, but their registration forms are in Italian with no English translation available. Even with Google Translate I wasn't able to get around well enough to register.

It also looks like at least one of those sites is only for residents of Italy. Even though I let it know in advance that I'm across the ocean from there, it kept insisting that I pick an Italian city as city of residence.

I had a similar problem with Svensska Spel. The website is in Swedish with no English translation.

I guess they don't want us durn Anglos over there.

Uh, yeah. My understanding is that those sites are specifically for the residents of those countries, has to do with tax laws.

It's too bad that they have such restrictions. I would rather play on a mainland-based poker site than an island in the ocean based one. If it means having to file an Italian or Swedish tax return I don't care.

Even if you're trying to play there thinking there will be alot of fish etc., how many players can those sites have? A few hundred at best? It's just not a big enough pool to make a profit from I guess
