Casino, sports and poker, do they work separately or together?
It is interesting to know if the money obtained from the casino is invested in the improvement and development of the game of poker.
I am pretty sure they are same company. It sure looks like pokerstars has basically given up on its sportsbetting though. The have quit giving out any freebets except the 1 dollar daily one when you get eliminated from a tourney. They recently increased their rake by almost double on things like spread and points in basketball and American football. It used to be 4.5 percent and now it is around 8 percent so almost double! How does this rake compare to other sportsbetting sites?
In the past, pokerstars only operated in the online poker market. As time went by, it acquired other companies, in other markets, such as betting. In casinos, some are from PokerStars, and others are from operators like MGM, PokerStars casino games have the PokerStars logo, to identify them.

In fact, the betting odds at PokerStars are very weaker compared to profile bookmakers. Low odds and not the widest line of sporting events. But I still bet here, as it is, indeed, convenient for me. But overall I don't see any special advantages.
