Well I enjoy playing poker, for my it's just a way of relaxing.
So it's worth it. When I play freerolls I usually also listen to music and chat, when I play for real money I'm more focused.

It sure is a good question.. risking money on a dealing bot that seems to bring up four of a kind a lot.. The only person who really wins is the house

Ofcourse it worths playing poker . You just have to find the game you love , the limits you can afford if you play for an income (cause there are a few playing just for the fun/play money ,mmm?) , be careful not to take it very seriously like thinking you might get rich from poker or I don't know what .
So you must have a bankroll , strictly applied . And when you have losses , play less money , when you feel tired , play less hours/time . Maybe try live poker for a change or a different game from the one you usually play . try to be better by studying the game .
That way , I don't think someone will be tired or bored of poker . And if he still thinks it isn't worth , well , anyway , he can always play some backgammon :D:D:D

you cant beat bad-luck and it happens more than enough with monster cards like AA KK QQ JJ THEY ARE TOO HARD TO FOLD BUT ON STRAIGHT BOARD AT THE BEGINNING OF A FLOP SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TOO.
I've learned alot of lessons on these big monsters.

im sure you can win and have success at poker, its just a matter of focus, motivation and devotion. If you spend energy on it u can achieve where u want proportionally to the amount that you gave.

Is it worth playing poker?

Not a bad question. As always, it depends. To me the answer to that question depends on what you want to get out of the game. I remember watching one of the first poker documentaries to come out after Black Friday. At one point they were at what looked like a local tournament. The person speaking looked back over the room and stated that just about every person in that room thought that one day they would get rich playing poker. If that is why you are playing, that is if you think you are going to get rich playing poker, then you'll most likely be disappointed and it probably won[t be worth all the time, effort, pain and frustration.

I've been playing poker in casinos for over twenty years now... I am not rich but not poor...plain and simple poker is a fun way to keep your brain functioning at a higher level than just watching TV. BTW online poker is fairly new to me, the jury is still out but it is mildly entertaining watching the ridiculous play from alot of these players.

Every person had at some point a tough day......but generally speaking....is it worth playing poker?

Hi my friend if you have had many losses I advise you to stop a little playing poker for two days study poker strategy books rest your mind for another day of everything and come back I believe it will improve your actions .... sometimes Our brain unconsciously makes mistakes for repetitions so clear your mind of mistakes and get better as it pays to play a good blef at the right time

yes without question. If you are going to play to make money you need to spend a long time learning the game books video and playing. if you want some fun and to take up some time it is great learn a little and play.

If you enjoy playing the game then of course it is worth playing! You dont have to be a long term winning or take it very seriously to still have fun playing poker. It can also be a challenge to improve your game over time.

Play poker when you want. Through force is not worth playing. Nothing good will come.

No matter what happens during your day/night of playing poker, if you have love for competition and for the game of poker then, yes it definitely worth playing poker. I have wrestled in highschool, college, fought MMA and a brown belt in BJJ but what is funny is that when a big hand comes and its all on the line and chips are down I get a huge rush and my heart rate increases in all ins. I absolutely love the game.

that's entirely up to you man. Is it worth it clean up dog poop all day for a job? to me heck no.... but others don't mind it and became very wealthy off it. The point I'm trying to make is that only you can answer that question.

i think the statistic is that only about 10% of poker players are profitable players (over long periods of time). So if your question about "worth" is really a question about profit, you may want to think twice.

Poker is also a game that has levels of knowledge. Basic understand of the cards values and simple odds is level one information but there are advanced topics/math which can take a lifetime to master.

Equilibrium play, pot odds, implied odds, bubble factors (if your playing a tournament), position, bet sizing, and proper aggression all take time to learn (usually through experience and losses)

Its a wonderfully fun and exciting game, but can be a very fickle mistress. :)

Also there are some great book to get a good foundation. "Super System" (by Doyle Brunson) is dated but a solid read that teaches fundaments.

also the "Kill Phil"/"Kill Everyone" books are possibly the best resources for learning about poker math.

Like anything in life, Its only worth it if it makes you happy and can bring a smile to your dial.
