How did you start playing poker?

I started play with friends for fun , still do that, one times per month . 6-9 players . We like to have that still after 5 years .

I started poker to play with my friends. Mostly it was playing in a drinks tour, losing the payout of a whole tour of drinks for everything or something like that. We were about 9 at the table almost always. Later on, it became serious and then I started off with an online game and started making money. It's good for me right now and I'm happy.

My great-grandmother was big fan of gambling/casinos and took many trips to Las Vegas/Atlantic City and spent most weekends at Harrah's Cherokee Casino near our hometown.

I remember being about 7 or 8 years old I had to go spend the night with her. I remember thinking I was going to be bored since she had no video games or anything like that.

She taught me how to play poker, blackjack and many more casino games that night. We had a blast and she talked about taking me to the casino when I was older. We never got to go as her health declined as I got older and she was never able to take me to the casino. I take her with me now though every time I go.

My grandma and mom were never fans of the gambling and I remember my mom hating my sisters and I sitting around playing poker for candy. My great-grandma loved it. RIP Grandma Kirby.

A friend of mine talked about a poker site (this site disappeared with black Friday so I do not name it) I did not really know much about it but he sent me a link and I downloaded it and registered without caring until little I was not interested until it became my favorite pastime so I started to play

How did i start playing poker?

It was nephew who inspired me to start playing..

He was always running deep and year on year he would be profitable, he still plays on stars and is a very good player.

He however said to me the worst thing, it will take you ages to catch up with me, so i did it in 1 year lol..now when we play heads up or go and play live, its often him railing me!
