My great-grandmother was big fan of
gambling/
casinos and took many trips to Las Vegas/Atlantic City and spent most weekends at Harrah's Cherokee Casino near our hometown.
I remember being about 7 or 8 years old I had to go spend the night with her. I remember thinking I was going to be bored since she had no video games or anything like that.
She taught me how to play poker,
blackjack and many more casino games that night. We had a blast and she talked about taking me to the casino when I was older. We never got to go as her health declined as I got older and she was never able to take me to the casino. I take her with me now though every time I go.
My grandma and mom were never fans of the gambling and I remember my mom hating my sisters and I sitting around playing poker for candy. My great-grandma loved it. RIP Grandma Kirby.
