One table has too much slack time, get bored, lose interest and performance.
Two tables retains more focus.
Three tables is optimal.
Four tables works because they all fit on a screen.
5-6 needs the wide monitor or my secondary monitor, but I can't keep up enough with all the actions.
More than that and the tables start overlapping or cascading and I end up losing control, even more so when there are several different sites.

I've seen other people managing much more, also using chat, and chatting on webcams, but I couldn't do that.

You don't play more than one table when you are playing live at home or in a Casino so why would you play more than one table on the internet? Because you can?

THINK ABOUT IT!! DUH!!!

i m ok with 3 max 4 tables, was trying 5 or 6 tables cash games but i can t focus on my oppenment style, so my play becomes more robotic and can t adjust it against each player.

Playing 24 table is just ridiculous , either you are a machine, either you don t care to loose money !

Mass tabling is about increasing your $/hour and money from rakeback. so even if you are barely breakeven you can still technically profit. I know of some Supernova elite players who are -3% ROI but are still making $50k a year from rakeback...

I can multitable two tables at a time. I have one inactive table, which I don't look at, and one active table to which I give my full attention. I just do that so I can say that I multitable online poker.

I prefer 2 tables, although I do play 4 sometimes but I do notice that my effectiveness per table goes way down.

The most I will multi on my laptop is 3 bc the mouse. If I had a faster mouse or wireless one then I could probably do 4-5 comfortably.

I like to stick to no more than 4 and I prefer them to all be on the same client and same game. Anything more or if I get in holdem and Omaha at the same time my play suffers.

Use to play four comfortably but lately prefer two at the most. Can handle more tables at a buffet than at poker table these days. Not sure that counts though.

i have done 8-10 and got really comfortable with it at one point. usually i just do 4 or even 1,2 tables when im in a mtt. The reason to that is because i find it easier to focus on taking notes on my opponents and seeing through plays. i try not to get distracted when im at my best level, ...

4-6 tables is in my comfort zone for making good decisions, I think. I start getting a little anxious at 7+ and notice I'm more

likely to get all-in where I otherwise wouldn't with 4-6. I don't use any in-game poker software atm.

Maybe a monitor that's bigger than 13" would help? Haha.

Also, wondering how nanonoko did 24 tables profitably. Unreal to me.

So how about you guys?

Depends, what discipline i play. SNG HeadsUp 1 - 2 max, the most difficult for me. Zoom Cash 2 - 4 max, Cash Normal tables, MTSNG, MTT 4 - 8 max. My monitor is not big, only 20", so TableNinja helps me with it, don't like small sizes of tables, always use cascade.

8 tables of 6-Max ZOOM is my limit, any more than that and my mind starts to melt.

My max is 6, but i prefer play only 4 is more comfortable for me, i can make good decisions and see what is happening on table, with 6 for me is impossible see what is happening on table, and play onlly with "good hands" and "late positions"

I can play on 4-6 tables but 1 is pretty much enough for me. :D

It`s all about how I feel and how concentrate am I. Sometimes playing on 2 tables is best for me.

3 is the magic number for me, mostly because the math isn't yet automatic and I get annoyed when I'm up to bat at every table. I tend to play better (or at least tilt less) when multi-tabling vs single.

Sometimes while single-tabling I will pay too much attention to an aggressor and make mistakes. When I check the hand history later, I usually find that they were just running good and re-raising with strength.

at the moment I can play no more than 6 tables in tournaments on a monitor 23 inch, in principle, can fit more but then I quickly lose concentration.

4 would be the optimum since you can fit it on the screen and can still monitor/read your opponents.

But if games your in dont require much reading, you can add tables further.
