33 hand.......I would 4bet pre and fold to a 5bet...you're gonna be betting on the flop with the 3bet/call anyway and all flops possible look meh so you're betting as a bluff to start with so you may aswell 4bet and think about playing small pairs in future..

99 hand...call flop then evaluate on the turn...if he is WA then I'm sure he checks to the pre raiser then check/raises....looks like he just wants the pot now as flop tex doesn't hit your range.

why would we be selecting this as a good hand to 4bet bluff? its like one of the nut worst

With 99 my first instinct says call. But on the other hand villian almost always has any number of draws/combo draws so why not raise for value and let him no you're not going to let him get away with it.

So you don't think its a better option than 3bet calling when every flop is whiffed and you bet the same adding up to what you could have done with a 4bet.....villian doesn't know what cards we have and we rarely go to showdown with 33.....folding pre would be the best play but I think the second best is 4bet/fold.

when villian is this deep we want to see a flop because even after he 3bets we are getting odds to call on a setmine. 4betting 33 really puts us into all kinds of bad spots where we either end up folding or spewing postflop or folding to a 5bet preflop.

I probably fold flop though. and after floating flop i check behind on turn(unless we have some type of read/stat that says otherwise) probably fold river/ check behind again

good luck matt!

Villians deep yeah but hero isn't, $5 short to get the right odds to setmine...donwant to be spewing postflop so just 4bet/fold imo

I don't know it depends.

its over 12:1 so i like to think we can profitably setmine here but i mean i might fold to the 3bet a lot of the time tbh

the 33 hand is not the best spot to setmine

Villain 3b % is 12, so even when we do make our sets, were not even going to get paid off by AA/KK enough to make it work, since he's going to have air sometimes and were flatting w/the assumption that his range is nutted so we can stack him

I know it's only a 50 hand sample size, but 1. him 3b from the BB implies weakness as compared to EP/MP where light 3b's are far less frequent and 2. 26/24 thus far gives an impression that he's decently aggro and not a super nit, which is what we want to be up against when we set-mine 33.

aka I agree w/duggs

Call or 4betting are both spew, fold pre is the best option by far, but that's not what you originally saod

So the consensus is to be less of a spewtard. I agree. TBH I think I should cut out all other activities while grinding, make plenty of notes etc.

I was listening to some rather fast paced music and I think it was affecting my play.

Thank you guys for all the "GL"'s. I'm thinking of both 4 tabling the reg tables, along with 2 tabling zoom if I want to make up some more volume. At how many hands should I start posting stats for analysis?

Lots of hands here for you guys. Most of them tournament ones but W/E.

Third 3Bet since I sat at the table, all of them against me. Are we cool with floating the flop?

PokerStars - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: $14.24 (VPIP: 15.79, PFR: 15.79, 3Bet Preflop: 20.00, Hands: 20)

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has J:diamond: 8:spade:

SB bets $1.00, Hero calls $1.00

Turn: ($4.20, 2 players) 4:heart:

Tournament ones now - My main concern with these ones are what should I be doing in terms of calling/shoving/folding given stack sizes. I'll just paste them all and you guys can give me alternate lines if you don't mind.

J8o just fold pre,
JQ fold pre
TT if he is bad i 3b/f or flat. don't like jamming tho
AJ, need more info but shoving or folding is fine, open shoving seems bad
66 fold pre
A4o its pretty meh shove spot, going to get called by better sometimes and there are just so many people behind, i fold
KJ, he seems tight enough to be limp/trapping if you consider this unlikely shoving is fine. wtf is up with flop shove tho.
QJ, r/f is fine
8Ts std shove
T9, yup its fine.
KK it doesn't really matter, just shove because calling has no perceived fold equity.
A2o just fold to 3bet, shove pre tho.
77 i just fold pre.

Decided to play one donkament . . . Thing is that there is going to be more tournament hands than cash ones if I decide to play a tournament during one session. Reason being is that I suck at tournaments.

Duggs - Isn't 20BB the point where we are looking to play a tight GII-type of range (with the exception of stealing)?

Why do we want to jam 20BB with AJo but not 13BB with QJo?

And thanks for actually coming in here TO HELP . . .
